Great location. Quiet. All that you need is here, fully equipped. Comfortable beds. Great host, responds quickly. I can imagine staying here for a couple of weeks with the family, unfortunately we have only spent here one night.

Once gain, I stayed in Puertito de Güímar for a month as...

Once gain, I stayed in Puertito de Güímar for a month as part of my annual "escape January's dreadful weather and work remotely from a sunny place" tradition, and it was absolutely ideal. This small, quiet town is perfect for those looking to avoid crowds of tourists and just relax in a peaceful environment. The black sandy beach here is lovely, with just a few stones left or right, making it a great spot to unwind or take a stroll. The place also might be suited for families with young children or anyone who wants to work remotely in tranquility. The vibe is very laid-back, and it truly feels like a hidden gem for an extended stay. That said, it’s not a great choice for active, young travelers unless you have a car—it’s a bit tricky to get around otherwise. Getting here without a car can be challenging, and the cab ride back to the airport is €110, which feels a bit steep. Overall, I was really happy with my stay. If you’re looking for a low-key, sun-filled escape, Puertito de Güímar is worth considering! Pictures: morning run & sunrise!

Everything is in walking distance.

Everything is in walking distance. Only one shop of high quality for buying food. Among a few restaurants we had almost all the dinners at El Charcada, where we could enjoy good food and an exrtraordinary good service form el camarero Pepe. Next to El Puertito de Guimar is a 10 km2 national park called Malpais with well developed trails. The bus service every 20 minute gave acsess to all desitrable destinations.

We were 3 people - me and my children of 14 (girl) and 16 (boy), I requested 3 beds and it was promised to be provided but it wasn't. We got 2 beds instead which was inacceptable. I demand refund.

PUERTITO is a small resort with several black sand beaches,...

PUERTITO is a small resort with several black sand beaches, a lido and swimming area. There is a SPAR supermarket and a small number of cafes and restaurants, many of which were closed during my visit. This was fine, as I was more than happy to self cater. Puerito is 30 minutes from Santa Cruz and from Tenerife Sur Airport. It is about 50 minutes drive from Los Cristianos and Puerto de la Cruz. You need a car and you need to be prepared to self cater. The best thing about the area are the beautiful hiking trails at the end of the village at Malpais de Guimar.
