Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Wonderful place to get some good rest after crossing the Pyrenees. Had a delicious steak dinner in the restaurant to celebrate and recover some energy.

Beautiful,y restored building, once a monastery, to a very comfortable and spacious hotel. It was a welcome respite after the strenuous hill climb from St. Jean to the summit, and the descent to Roncesvalles. Gracefully appointed and well designed. The dining room and menu choices provided superb examples of Navarrese cuisine.

Great Hotel and lovely accommodation.

Great Hotel and lovely accommodation. A complete one dog town, 5 buildings on a Main Street, with no shops. What a disappointment, no life and with everyone exhausted anyway!. Really Crap, in the vernacular.

Very few hotel options so make reservations early.

Very few hotel options so make reservations early. No A/C in hotel but it cools off every evening and we opened windows after sunset and room cooled quickly. If you sleep hot like us ask for a sheet. Enjoyed dinner we had the daily menu and enjoyed all great options it was 3 courses for 22 euros each. Also make reservations. Enjoy!

Roncesvalles is very small, but it is in a beautiful area.

Roncesvalles is very small, but it is in a beautiful area. The location was perfect for a spending a relaxing and restful afternoon and evening, prior to walking the next stage of the Camino Francais.

Beautiful place on the Camino after crossing the Pyrenees. There are really a couple of different options in Roncesvalles after crossing the Pyrenees on the Camino: the lovely, simpler Hostel or a more comfortable single occupant hotel room. We chose the later, with the Casa de los Beneficiados. Well worth it. Nice room, very clean, spacious well stocked bathroom. Highlight was the restaurant, with pilgrim menu (salmon was delicious). Staff in hotel and restaurant were friendly, courteous, professional. Great conversations with all.

This is a very nice hotel. The reception is a bit odd in that it looks like someone’s small office and you wait in the hall for your turn (maybe left over from Covid) The restaurant was very good and I really enjoyed my meal. Plus the buffet breakfast had lots of choice.
