SpainLovely place isolated from the crowds. They have done an amazing job turning this Monastery into a beautiful complex and hotel. I picked it by chance as we needed to make a stop on our way to Tarragona and it was a real surprise. Staff was very kind and helpful, facilities fantastic and the possibility of visiting the monastery as part of the stay was absolutely lovely. I strongly recommend this place!

SpainLovely, simple, clean, and hilariously decorated pensión in the middle of an unexpectedly lovely town. The restaurant had fantastic food for dinner and breakfast (seriously, everything was so good!), and all the staff and patrons were so friendly! Had a nice time taking photos with our children on the balcony of the pensión alongside the garden gnomes, plastic storks, and trouser legs. Hope to return again!

United StatesIt is a beautiful, comfortable, and inviting place with a ton of fascinating history. Unlike any other hotel I’ve ever been to in the best way possible. I wish I could have stayed longer, and I hope to come back soon. And the food is unbelievably good.

This hotel is in a fabulous location but retains a simple charm. We enjoyed the outdoor pool because of the extreme heat we encountered but didn’t miss a spa or use the gym. It wasn’t that kind of visit. Food was fine, generous portions and very good value for money. The room was a good size, clean and the bed comfortable. The highlight was the visit to the monastery included the morning before departure. Absolutely beautiful and little known apparently. We experienced its peace and serenity in full as we had it all to ourselves. A rare occurrence nowadays. I will not forget that visit.

Sastago is a lovely, friendly village.
Sastago is a lovely, friendly village. Beautiful River Ebro which you can walk along. Nice and friendly local bar. Good for Bird watching and central to take day trips around the area if you have a car. would go back there again.

The hostel had nobody in person to let us in when we arrived...
The hostel had nobody in person to let us in when we arrived. After a while we noticed the phone number on the main entrance, phoned and someone let us in. However one of the room keys did not work and we had to ring each time we wanted to get back into the room. No ideal.
Breakfast was good with a friendly staff member serving excellent coffee.
Sastago was for us just a starting point for a River Ebro kayak tour, so we did not see much of Sastago itself.

What an amazing place! Absolutely beautiful and well worth staying at.
They have tastefully decorated and maintained the beautiful authenticity of the place.
We loved exploring the hotel and area including the water wheel and ruins.
The swimming pool and grass area was lovely and a lovely area to chill out.
Breakfast was good.
Would really recommend the evening meals which were excellent and good value for money.

Beautiful historic building. It was a privilege to be able to stay here. Great half way stop between Bilbao and Barcelona. The inclusive audio guide around the monastery at our own leisure was a lovely treat. A truly incredible piece of history. Great that part of it has been made in to this fabulous hotel. Good food and very friendly and accommodating staff.

A simple breakfast included in the price. Friendly, helpful staff. Fabulous location with a visit to the monastery included. We had it all to ourselves! Swimming pool was very welcome on arrival as the evening was hot, followed by a cold beer on the terrace with views of the monastery. A no frills hotel totally in keeping with it’s surroundings.
