We arrived late and were able to eat dinner in the bar he runs across the road, which was really appreciated. Everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great - fully stocked fridge with eggs and other treats we could cook with, and selection of pastries/cereals.

In my case, I was looking for somewhere to break a 7 hour car journey, and Zafra just happened to be there.
It's a nice town, with plenty of places to relax and to eat. We found good homemade horchata; and there's some really beautiful 15th century chapels and gates. The view from the top of the Parador was excellent - pano attached - even if we had to buy a coffee to count as a guest of the hotel.
Best food we had was at "La Fea". We ordered starters and mains and the waitress looked worried, and said "they're very large...", so we settled for one starter and one main between us, and she was right!

Entering the city not exciting., but I didn’t want to stay...
Entering the city not exciting., but I didn’t want to stay in a big city of Seville ( I was going north Spain). 90 minutes from airport was just perfect to recover from jet lag. Plaza Mayor very pleasant- like most of the Spanish cities. Cobbled streets, small shops, cafes- add a nice atmosphere to the city.

Just know that you are in a very small village/town.
Just know that you are in a very small village/town. You are close to Zafra but not in Zafra. This place is actually much better because it's quaint. There is a bar here that opens at 8pm and it is great place to get burgers and beer. Ideal for one night.

We enjoyed our two-night stay in Zafra and had a couple of...
We enjoyed our two-night stay in Zafra and had a couple of decent dinners in local restaurants - La Rebotica being particularly good. It was interesting to wander the old-fashioned and largely pedestrianized streets of the centre and we also liked the open spaces. We visited a couple of museums and liked the Museu de Medicina which was well laid out but all the information was just in Spanish - perhaps modern technology could help by providing some sort of translation facility. We wanted to visit the winery of Bodegas Medina but it was closed and we only found out too late that visits are only possible at weekends.

It is a beautiful location in a lovely town.
It is a beautiful location in a lovely town. Because it is an historic building there are some inconveniences but the ambiance and historic surroundings make it worth being a bit flexible. The staff were lovely. We really enjoyed our stay. Having just been in the Costa Del Sol where the experience is so impacted by over development it was refreshing to be in an authentic Spanish community.

The room had a small terrace with table and chairs, a very nice neat kitchen and an excellent bathroom. It was a short walk into the centre.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even gave me an umbrella when I needed to go out in the rain.
The breakfast was a light continental with freshly made toast and fresh squeezed orange juice. Really good value.
Parking was provided at a secure location not far from the hotel.
The owner gave us some recommendations for dinner which were excellent.
I could go on but you need to try it yourself.

The hotel is very well placed for local attractions and eating establishments although it has to be said we enjoyed eating at that hotel itself.
The place is clean and tidy and the staff are welcoming and very helpful.

Excellent very clean hotel. Location to the center grade A. Beautiful garden to relax in. ⁹A nice touch.....I left a book in the room and subsequently received an email informing me of the fact. Great value for money

Lovely old property with charming open sitting room areas. You can enjoy a drink from the bar/cafe whilst sitting in the pretty gardens at the front of the hotel. Good to have secure parking.

Absolutely outstanding. We cycled to Zafra and the staff were very accommodating with the storage of our cycles. The hotel could not have been better with a great atmosphere, service and food.
