Ana, the manager, is great. She loaned me snorkeling equipment and offered to loan me her kayak as well. We had some great conversations. The bed was comfortable and Ana arranged transportation when needed.

The view was fantastic of the grounds and the ocean. It sits on a very lush, green property. The room is very large, has a great couch, kitchenette and table with chairs. The bathroom is a nice size too.

The location is great! The setting is amazing - beautiful landscaped grounds with adorable cabins overlooking the ocean, wonderful swimming pool and very friendly staff! And the beds are super comfy!!

This was the perfect spot for us. A private one bedroom, air conditioned house on a longtime local's pristine property. We enjoyed the well maintained pool and pool house, cooked in the well outfitted kitchen, watched spectacular sunsets from our porch, and walked up and down the beach road to town. Larissa is an accommodating, friendly hostess who knows how to walk the fine line between being available and allowing your complete privacy. We love Savusavu and would definitely stay here again.

A gem of a place --- a coastal town with lovely people, cute...

A gem of a place --- a coastal town with lovely people, cute market, different stores&eateries where you can buy cloth, bread and local dishes (curries, coconut fish, dalo etc.). There are also diving/sightseeing boats. Forget fancy resorts -- stay at a locally owned hotel or BnB, walk around town or book a local taxi driver to drive you around to show your waterfalls, mud pools and lil farm stands.

Savusavu is a great place. Lots to see.

Savusavu is a great place. Lots to see. It more then what we read on line. We visited many places and areas. The taxi drivers were very nice always had the meter going. Always Pointing out the areas and explaining etc. We took taxi to Labasa airport and driver had the meter on and it only came at $93.00 which was very reasonable. We tried few restaurants and food was great and reasonable price. If we have a chance we will be back for longer stay.

We are a family of 2 adults & 2 kids (6 & 8) and we had 3...

We are a family of 2 adults & 2 kids (6 & 8) and we had 3 nights in Savusavu but it felt too long. We wanted to go to the chocolate farm but it was closed Fri-Mon (Fri was a public holiday). We also wanted to swim in the hot springs but when we got there it was just two small pits used for cooking food. This didnt seem clear on the research Id done? We went to the market on Saturday morning which we enjoyed, and we enjoyed spending time on Nawi Island. We did a drive along the south coast which was pretty and drove down to Costeau’s Resort. We ate at Captain’s Table & The Planters which were both nice meals. The pearl farm wasnt for us but other than that, we werent sure what there was to do. I liked the yachtie, chilled out vibe of Savusavu but am unlikely to visit again.

Good communication, an aranged taxi, including time to do some shopping (you pay a litlle bit extra if you want to use that service). I was upgraded to a villa which was a wonderful extra. You can have food delivered to your accomadation. I had a very good time here.

The flight is amazing offering views of multiple reefs...

The flight is amazing offering views of multiple reefs amidst turquoise waters. Roads are abysmal and dangerous-too many pot holes which incites drivers to veer in any direction to avoid damage to cars. Fresh local bread is delicious. Local fruits/produce at the local market is lovely and fresh. Navi island is gorgeous. The vegetation is bright and colourful. And the people are kind, helpful and always good with info and a smile.

Savusavu is a great location for a peaceful holiday, giving to a more traditional Fijian experience with less resorts on the island. The market is a great for self catering or just absorbing the atmosphere, especially early on Sat when the fish market is there too. The people are very friendly and fun to be around, as you walk down the street you are constantly greeted warmly with Bula! Nateway Bay is mostly untouched and an amazing place to see.

The view was amazing from the hotel. The room was lovely, very comfortable with a mosquito net. Michael the drivers was really lovely and would drive you anywhere although you will be charged for this at the end. Unlimited free water also which they filter rainwater for so that’s good! Social accomodation so lots of going out for dinner together and activities.

Salt lake lodge was the perfect stay for us. It is a little bit out of Savusavu and only has room for two couples so it is very calm and peaceful. All the staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. The food was to die for and definitely recommend the chef service. Would recommend this stay to everyone

Jan was a wonderful host and had lots of great information about the area, such as the buses, dive spots and other great info for travellers. The kayak was a bonus and access to Savusavu is easy, via walking, busing or taxi. Thanks for having us Jan, we would definitely love to return one day.
