The staff was accomodating of me and my little dog--they even provided a metal bowl and a dog bed! The breakfast was excellent and the rooms were comfortable. It was very quiet, so the sound insulation was good between rooms.

I had a truly excellent experience at this hotel. The staff were not only polite and kind, but they also demonstrated genuine integrity. During my stay, I accidentally left behind a personal item, and to my surprise, they promptly contacted me. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every interaction reflected a high standard of service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, trust, and outstanding hospitality.

We enjoyed room service 24/7 ordering meals every evening as well as breakfast in the morning. The staff was very friendly and helpful all the time. The design is modern and inviting. We had a stroller and we could keep it in a safe place just outside the entry.

The centre of Annecy is charming, with many old buildings and a network of canals. It is very busy (at least in July) but much of the centre is pedestrianised which helps get around. From Annecy there is a convenient (if very crowded) local bus to a nature reserve, the Pic de Chere, with wonderful views of Lake Annecy and the mountains on the other side. I didn't have a chance to try out the swimming opportunities but there are small beaches all round the lake, again accessible by local bus from the centre.

Only sleep in comfort with portable aircon or permanent aircon. Fans do not help. We are not exaggerating about sweat dripping down our bodies. You complain way too mush and should not tell us where to go! How rude your comments are to paying full price without a discount for putting up with your disrespectful attitude. We travel 100 days per year! How many do you travel? Keep your comments to yourself and shame on you!

Beautiful town with plenty to do and see for a 3 day stay.

Beautiful town with plenty to do and see for a 3 day stay. We walked the town the first day, cycled around the lake on day two and took a cruise on the lake on our last day. Note, most places of interest (churches, castle etc.) seem to be closed on a Tuesday!

Lovely town, beautiful location.

Lovely town, beautiful location. Took the lake boat trip, which was the best. Great selection of restaurants for good dinners or small lunches (or vice versa) Market on Friday and everywhere is perfectly walkable.

Annecy is gorgeous, every corner looks like a postcard!

Annecy is gorgeous, every corner looks like a postcard! We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We loved the old town with its generous choice of restaurants and cafes as well as having the open space around the beautiful lake. A trip on the lake is a must as well as a dip in the lake, we had a lunch cruise on The Libellule to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, it was worth every penny and exceeded our expectations in every way (booked with Get your Guide app). When we go to Annecy again I think I would stay a bit longer, we had 3 nights, would have liked to explore the other towns/villages around the lake but ran out of time. We loved the gardens around the lake, we were there during an extreme heatwave, the gardens provided a lot of shade. There was often live music to watch, we particularly enjoyed Le Rippaille & Sons who were playing on our anniversary, it made a lovely afternoon after our lunch cruise, they were fun to watch, so lively too. We ate at Plein Sud and Quai Numéro 10, both lovely food, friendly staff, good, usually busy. Quai Numéro 10 for Crepes and their choc and coffee ice cream with a shot of coffee made it for us! We will definitely come back to Annecy.

I stayed two nights, arriving on the Friday night.

I stayed two nights, arriving on the Friday night. I bussed to Chamonix the first day to do a Mont Blanc assent), which basically sucked a day out of my time in Annecy, but I was time-poor on my whole holiday. The bus ride was 1.5hrs each direction. The town of Annecy is beautiful and photogenic, and wasn't as busy as I expected for peak summer-time. The old town is small enough to explore on foot easily - no public transport required. The same for the lake front in town. I was disappointed that the shops were not open on Sundays, as this was my main free day in Annecy (only one store in Galleria Lafayette was open). The bus and ferry routes were a little challenging to negotiate, so that did cut back on my to-do list, re travelling to villages around the lake, and there were no e-bikes to hire, even though I had tried to book one several days in advance. The most disappointing part of the trip was the food - I was hoping for amazing French cuisine, and did not eat anything tasty at all - even the creme brulee (I tried at two different restaurants) was pretty ordinary - I can get better in a basic restaurant in Australia. The only other downside was the number of homeless people around the town, and the smell of human urine in some of the smaller alleys and under archways etc where they sleep (eg near the Palais de l Ile). However - Annecy is stunning - don't leave it off your travel list in France.

The location was very convenient, close to Lake Annecy and the old town. It was also about a 10-minute walk from the station. There were plenty of shops around the hotel. Although it’s a lively area, it was very quiet at night. The staff were very pleasant and kind. The hotel was clean, and the breakfast was delicious. I was able to spend a relaxing time there.

period property in great location next to old Annoy so perfect for access to shops, restaurants, canal, lake. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable although a bit on small side. That said Annecy not a cheap option for accommodation so close to centre so this hotel represents good value for money particularly given location

The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of Lake Annecy and the Old Town. We were given a room with a mezzanine and a lake view which was perfect for us . Clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly & helpful . Great breakfast and lovely to have use of the Pool too . I would happily stay at Le Pelican again !
