Super freindly hosts, amazing apartment and just the friendly stop off point we needed on our little tour of the region. It's a lovely site inside and out and has been carefully and lovingly made this way by the hosts too! Oh and the shower in the guest room is amazing

Lovely surroundings, lots of shady places to sit, an overground pool which was very useful in the heatwave. The gite was cool even in extreme heat, good kitchen facilities, comfortable large bed. A bar on site and able to book a meal if you didn't want to drive anywhere. Relaxing . Helpful hosts.

The location and the residence was amazing.

The location and the residence was amazing. The environment was beautiful with loads of character. The interior of the house was very traditional which, off course, has to match your taste. It matched the character of the entire facility, for sure, and we ended up only sleeping and showering inside the house. All other time was spent in the garden or the environment. The facility had a beautiful pool, with salty water. I like that over water with chlorinated water. The obligated pool alarm worked a little tricky and it was initiated sometimes unexpected. The barn was loaded with toys. floating thing for in the pool, a badminton net and rackets, a table-tennis set and also a couple of bikes we could use to explore and enjoy the environment. And the environment is marvellous to explore. A lot of D-roads with hardly any traffic and a lot of french countrysite character. Jolly good! It's therefor very suited for guests with children. The courtyard exceeded all our expectations. We love enjoying a beautiful courtyard with natural shade provided by trees. WE coudl sit there all day long and more importantly, all night long. Where, in some cases environmentally influences, like insects will force you to go inside the house when the evening falls, we could stay in the charmingly lit garden almost all night long. I hope the owner will sell it sometime in the future and only tell me about it ;-).

A quaint and quiet small town in Poitou Charente.

A quaint and quiet small town in Poitou Charente. Friendly people, and just the right number of shops to get everything you need, without the feel of a large town or city. Fantastic restaurant in town, and a couple of smaller cafes, pharmacy, epicerie and boulangerie, with lots of supermarkets and shops in Savigne just 3 kms away. Great base for exploring SW France.
