The gentleman who helped us was kindness itself. No complaints. I think, like most reviews state, a little updating would go a long way. Wifi was great. We had a wonderful little patio from which we ate a little takeout dinner from the Vietnamese Restaurant next door. Quite a distance from train station, but we took a taxi. Location was close to several restaurants/bars and a laundromat and a Carrefour grocery. Beds were okay, clean and neat. Quiet. I feel Decazeville it was a good value

The most outstanding thing about the hotel was the staff. The gentleman who checked me in drove over before the normal check in time to get me into my room. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a nice Vietnamese restaurant a few doors away that was perfect for dinner and the Carrefour convenience store is about 5 minutes away.

It was fine. Decazeville is a very run down town, with a lot of shop fronts closed up and to rent. Hotel Malpel is reasonable and close to the church which is worth a visit and close to some bars and restaurants (La Cantina is worth a visit)

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Although we struggled a bit to communicate as we do not understand French the staff tried to make us feel welcome. The hotel is on the Via Podiensis which makes it an ideal spot to sleep over.
