This hotel has been run by the same family for four generations, and it feels like it. The generation that currently runs it made us feel welcome and cared for, like we were personal house guests. For example, on the night we arrived all of the restaurants in town were booked up for dinner, but Hotel Picheyre found a way to accomodate us even on a busy night for them. The rooms are spacious. The lobby is a cozy gathering area. Parking is very convenient just behind the hotel. We spent a lot of time skiing and visiting in Les Angles, which was extremely crowded, so we were glad to get back to the quieter Formigueres at the end of the day.

We know Formiguères well.

We know Formiguères well. It’s a very pretty village with good amenities. Excellent centre for skiing in the winter and all sorts of summer activities - walking, cycling/mountain biking, horse riding etc

Modern apartment just 5 minutes walk from Formigueres village and 5-10 minutes drive from the ski station. Pleasantly decorated in chalet style and decent size rooms for a ski apartment (some are like rabbit hutches!). I found the bed OK but my wife thought it was much too hard! Small kitchen, a good size living / dining room (although one more armchair would be good, as there is only one and a small sofa). Nice balcony with views out the back. Plenty of free parking at the front.

The best accommodation! Clean as in the operating room. The kitchen is fully equipped. The view from the terrace is incredible. The service is at a very high level. Humane and attentive attitude to guests. If there is an ideal hotel - it is here!

A small ski apartment on the edge of Formigueres, 5 minutes walk from the village centre and on the road out towards the ski station (5-10 minutes drive). It had everything we needed for our stay and there was plenty of parking directly outside.

The Picheyre family are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is a classic family run establishment and very comfortable. The supper menu was limited but all choices were delicious.
