Very nice house with a wonderful atmosphere. We arrived very late, but there was no problem with the check-in. The hosts are very kind. The house has everything you need. Staying in this house leaves an unforgettable memory of France, outside the big cities.

This gem of an inn was the perfect place for our visit to the Champagne region of France. It's centrally located near Reims and Epernay, and it's also quite close to the Chateau Thierry and Belleau Woods monuments and battlefields for the World War I history buffs. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel's restaurant is excellent. Breakfast was 18 Euros per person and included a variety of fresh items from a boulangerie, yogurt, rice pudding, fresh fruit, and cheeses. The location of the hotel is gorgeous, with great views of the surrounding countryside. One could describe it as either pastoral or bucolic. Our room was on the second floor, and there is no lift, but the gentleman who checked us in insisted on carrying our luggage up to our room. Our room was more than adequate, the bed was comfortable, and air conditioner could keep you ice cold, if you wished. The bathroom was large, and everything worked well.

Chateau de Feer is located just a 1 hour drive from Paris. This castle dating back to the 17th century offers a gastronomic restaurant, swimming pool and spa facilities.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at this hotel. The hotel grounds are very large and beautiful, with a swimming pool and a warm jacuzzi with hot water, which we really enjoyed. The breakfast was incredibly delicious, the interiors were elegant and stylish, and the dinner cuisine was excellent with a great selection of wines. We truly enjoyed everything and would be very happy to come back again!

Le chardonnay, 30 min de Reims is located in Dormans, just 16 miles from Epernay Train Station and 24 miles from Pierre Schneiter Garden.

Marie Claire is the lady of the house at this lovely private residence built 50 years ago turned into a French provincial hotel. She is a superb cook and the fare was excellent. I met her son and grandson and other family members while there. So welcoming they asked me to dine with them for dinner! The property is beautiful, with a rolling garden down to a large private lake. The nights (2) were quiet and comfy with a window open for cooler air. Bed was excellent (I am 6’3” and 215 pounds and have an achy back) but slept like a baby. The furnishings are beautiful French provincial pieces throughout. The location is less than 4 kilometers from the American cemetery at Oise-Aisne. A must see. My great uncle was an officer killed in WW1 in July 1918 in this area and is buried there. My visit was both emotional and peaceful at the beauty of what was once no man’s land. There is a medieval castle in the area I will see my next visit to Fere-en-Tardenois. Don’t miss this gem of an experience.
