Beautiful and peaceful place in a lovely garden. Accommodation has everything you need and the owners are friendly and helpful. Galgon is a nice village with a supermarket, bakery and restaurant and easy drive to Saint Emilion for a day trip. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We liked that it was easy to drive to and that there were good restaurants nearby overlooking the river. We also liked that we were able to park in the secure indoor private parking before check in because we got there before they closed at 1.30pm. The room was comfortable and cute. The city is also cute.

The location of this hotel in the center of town and across from the rivers was wonderful! After traveling through the nearby vineyards and going to a wine tasting, we just parked the car in the hotel’s secure parking lot (pay) and walked to the restaurant across the street for a wonderful dinner and a great sunset view over the confluence of the Dordogne and Isle rivers. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good (pay). Our room was small, but it met our needs for a one-night stay. The biggest downside was the view from our room of a wall of windows from the multi-story school next door…and their potential view of us!

What a delightful, out-of-the-way B and B! Think pastural, bucolic, quiet. . . with delightful hosts and a clean, comfortable room. Breakfast on the porch was delicious and filling, featuring local fruits and homemade jams, and warmed milk for my French press coffee. Plus croissants of course. The bathroom was very modern. I think two of the three rooms have a small seating area, ours did not, but still lovely. There is a large closet with hangers, and a side table with coffee/tea/sugar/small treats etc. There is no restaurant nearby, but a short drive to a Supermarket got us salad ingredients, bread, and a bottle of wine, which we prepared in the "outdoor kitchen" which is provided for guests. Many little seating areas scattered around the property. Within a few hundred meters walk is Chateau de Riviere, recommended by our hosts, featuring a fabulous tour of the wine caves and a tasting afterwards. Loved this place, and the hosts Alfonso and Marie made is special.

Breakfast was very nice, the made to order eggs were a nice touch. Wonderful common space, beautifully decorated grand old house with an exceptional out-door area in the middle of town, a private oasis. Wonderfully attentive hosts, husband and wife, Corrine & Laurent were the consummate hosts making us feel very much at home. Highly recommend.
