Everything about this place was magical. The hosts were very helpful. The moulin and its garden were amazing. We have rarely seen anywhere more beautiful. The bed was comfortable and breakfast on the terrace was excellent.

Communication with the owner was excellent. The hotel was very easy to find, incredibly clean with everything we needed. The owners are obviously very proud of their hotel and take great care of it.

Disappointing return visit.

Disappointing return visit. The last time we stayed here was before covid and it wasn’t part of a chain and I gave it a 5 star review but unfortunately our expectations were not met on this visit. Dinner was a set menu at €47 and whilst edible was underwhelming. Almost an hour between courses, sitting at the table for 3 hours and 15 minutes with dessert still to be chosen. Upon mentioning this to waiter we did not receive a courteous apology, but more of an excuse that it wasn’t his fault as he usually worked in the kitchen! One can only hope this was just a one off!

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last several years and always have a great experience. The room is comfortable and the staff welcoming to both my dog and I. Dinner was very good and breakfast generous. Location is peaceful and great for walking.

It is a beautiful traditional hotel in a lovely setting. We have stayed before and chose to return for these reasons and also the excellent food. We love to cycle and it is right next to the fabulous canal route.
