We loved everything abut our stay. Jakob and Eefie were wonderful. The dinner that Jakub served were the best we had in France. Our room was large and had everything we needed. Jakub secured a wonderful wine tasting for us hand they both had great suggestions on thing to do during the stay. We had a wonderful 3 days at this lovely BnB run by Jakob & Effie. Surrounded by a beautiful countryside including vineyards and a distant view of the Pyrenees mountains, it provided a quiet retreat whether sitting inside or relaxing on the deck or pool patios. This BNB surfaced to be a diamond in the rough w exciting potential for future builds and accommodations. In addition to this tranquil environment there are a number of attractions within an hour drive including mountains, hiking, castles, wine tasting, and beaches. The room itself provided ample space for us (including a sitting area, king bed, shower space, & separate toilet facilities). Most impressive was the service provided by Jakob and Effie (speak English, French and Dutch). They were very gracious during our stay, offering suggestions for sight-seeing and being genuinely friendly with conversation, which made our stay more unique & pleasant. The meals were a creative highlight! Although breakfast was included the dinners prepared by Jakob were exceptional! While traveling France for two weeks it was this stay which is standing out as very memorable due to the quaintness, comfort, and friendliness.

A small village, probably very old, situated in a pole...

A small village, probably very old, situated in a pole position on a hill overlooking the Razes basin and towards the Montaigne Noire in one direction and the distant Pyrenees in another. No shops or cafes here, and the nearest are some distance away, and unlikely to be public transport (haven't checked this). But for walking or cyling or simply a retreat, not much would beat this place. It's on GR7 and the camino de Compostella so much visited by pilgrims.
