I’m not sure how this qualifies as a 4-star hotel.
I’m not sure how this qualifies as a 4-star hotel. It’s essentially self-catering accommodation and falls well short of the standard you would expect from a hotel with that rating.
A few months ago, the hotel suffered a cyberattack that resulted in guests' personal details being leaked to scammers. What was most disappointing was the apparent lack of concern or accountability from the hotel.
The property itself is also run down and in need of significant refurbishment. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and I certainly wouldn’t consider it worthy of a 4-star rating.

Jonzac is a delightful small town and two nights was enough...
Jonzac is a delightful small town and two nights was enough time for us as a visit. That said we did not travel outside the town as I was gently recovering from two days of serious driving before moving on to our holiday villa with the family.

Perfect location. 3 min.'s walk to the market, 3 times...
Perfect location. 3 min.'s walk to the market, 3 times weekly, Fridays the biggest. Healthstore just as close.
2 highly recommendable restaurants within 5 minutes walk , le Comptoir du Marche and Creperie Rozell, not the other crep.
6 to 7 minutes walk to a very nice park with lake and great biodiversity.
Also good facilities in the flat for cooking.

The location was fantastic, being so central to Jonzac and all it's amenities. The Tuesday and Friday market was just a few steps away, as are all the shops/bars and restaurants.
It was tastefully decorated and very spacious. All the facilities needed were provided.
The balcony / terrace was great to sit and enjoy the afternoon and evening sunshine, it was nice to be central to a great little town but have peace and tranquility of the terrace/garden.
Jonathan is a great host and very helpful and responsive.

Everything you could want from a family-run hotel in France. This is what we always hope for but rarely find! A lovely, characterful building; spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and tastefully furnished room with huge en-suite bathroom; great restaurant; charming, friendly and helpful hosts. The owner called to let me know I had left my glasses behind and very kindly sent them on. Will definitely book here again next year!

Lovely helpful staff at reception, clean homely vibe rooms , balcony with view of house in a vine yard in the distance and huge starry sky at night. Pool complex to the side of the hotel but to the rear of the hole is a paradise with a lake with boats , sand , volleyball , basketball court , bar/ restaurant. Shopping complex short drive away . 39° heat whilst I was there .

Wonderful. Very close to the main square of the town, big and fully equipped. Our stay in Jonzac was fantastic and we really enjoyed the appartment. Bonus points for remaining cool even during one of the worst heatwaves of recent years!
