United StatesWhat an amazing place and beautiful property. We had views in two directions of the garden and medieval city below, in a spacious a thoughtfully decorated room with huge bathroom. The hosts were very welcoming and we were able to secure our bicycles easily. Josselin is beautiful with dozens of half timbered houses and an imposing Chateau. It’s great to wander and explore, especially after the day trippers have gone home.

A spectacular medieval town on the banks of the Nantes Brest...
A spectacular medieval town on the banks of the Nantes Brest canal. It never fails to disappoint-whether you want to explore the chateau, roam through the streets lined with timber framed houses or wander in the Bois d’Amour - there is something for everyone.
If you want to be more energetic then you can cycle for miles, in either direction, along the canal path or drift along on one of the canal boats.
Then finish the day in one of the many cafes/restaurants! What’s not to like.

It's small but perfectly formed town.
It's small but perfectly formed town. Lovely architecture and good restaurants. The views of the castle are great. It's worth staying for a few days to get to know the place. A day trip of a few hours doesn't do it justice.

Beautiful, historic, friendly, easy going, with local shops, an amazing church, a chateau, with lovely gardens, a canal that’s popular with cyclists and walkers and the most amazing bakery, selling bread and cakes the likes of which I have never seen!

A small medieval town, easy to navigate with friendly brasseries and a nice character. A good place for a short weekend stop. bring your bike (or hire one) and take the canal path to the next village or two

A small walkable town with all the amenities one needs in an old historic locale. Lovely walks in older parts of town with lots to discover and explore; interesting Chateau/Castle; wonderful walks along canal; at least one delightful park with nice walking trails; info signs tucked everywhere providing an ongoing insight into history and events in the area; nice restaurants; artistic installation at many surprising places providing a rest for the eyes; on edge of town are modern conveniences; good highway to get to/from;

Delightful historic town with a chateau and many 16th...
Delightful historic town with a chateau and many 16th century houses which have been well maintained. There are information plaques on many of them and it is easy to walk round the town which has a river/canal as well as parks. There is a good choice of places to eat from restaurants to cafes, bars and creperies. Interesting shops offer opportunities for browsing with jewellery, books (French & English), gifts, clothes and shoes!

We had a private flat with balcony with lovely views over the town. It is immaculate and very quiet. We didn’t realise that anyone else was staying until at breakfast, good soundproofing! We were also within easy walking distance of the lovely town of Josselin.

room was excellent, Staff really very helpful. Its a really characterful French hotel in a stunning location. There are at least 2 very good high end restaurants in josselin ( Chez Simon and Table d'O ) along with the other creperies etc. We use this hotel to stay in and go to the restaurants and will do so again!

Beautiful house in the pretty village of Josselin. Very comfortable and spacious room with interesting details throughout (art, home accessories) and overlooking a lovely garden. Lots of information about the local area provided for guests and there was a cosy lounge to relax. The village was very peaceful.
