La Grand Motte is pleasant and has numerous bars and cafes. The beach area is clean and looked after. It's not the most sophisticated seaside town but it's probably got something for most people.

A modern resort and although the buildings are mainly apartments we liked the architecture.
Very clean
The beach is very long and sandy although too early in the year for us to go on it or swim.
Many stylish restaurants bars and cafes within walking distance, a lot around and near the marina. We had lunch in le Tandem, a small restaurant near the front specialising in freshly caught seafood. Moderately expensive (about £50 per head for 3 courses) but the quality of the cooking was outstanding.
Lots of other shops.
The resort was surprisingly busy for March.
To get to or from Montpellier Centre is pretty easy by public transport.
There are local buses which stop outside La Poste (15mins walk from the front) which connect with tram stations for the onward tram. The cost of €2.60 per person ( €1 bus and €1.60 tram ) is amazing value.
A taxi from the airport to the Grande Motte is pretty expensive at around €40. There may be a cheaper alternative but we did not have enough time to check this out.

I prefer La Grande Motte over Grau du Roi or Palavas-les-...
I prefer La Grande Motte over Grau du Roi or Palavas-les-Flots or Carnon because it has more woody areas and possible to walk around pine trees and by the sea.
Prices are also better at restaurants: a menu can be around 18 euros when other towns start around 22 euros and up.
Lots of outdoor activities.
Parking a hard to find though.

Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. Quite and relaxing place where to spend the weekend to unwind. There are a lots of restaurants and shops, the beach and people are so kind and friendly. You have to try the Italian Fabio pizza and the Boulangerie - Pâtisserie- Salon de Thé Le Versailles: excellent quality!!

It was our first visit to La Grande-Motte, specifically for the spa hotel, in January, so not a good time to express a view about this holiday town, although there are great beaches and plenty of promenade facilities.

Hotel room comfortable and clean. Rituals shampoo/conditioner provided in the rooms too. Hotel in general had a nice atmosphere and very friendly helpful staff.
Outdoor Pool was a bonus and towels provided from reception .play station / pool table for kids was a nice touch . The hotel was very quiet and even though our room was directly above the restaurant/ bar area, it didn’t affect our stay.

Very clean, beautiful hotel right on the beach. Beach bar very good with attentive staff and comfy sun loungers. Valet parking and small number of car chargers. Amazing balcony and view of the sea. Swimming pool lovely. Room was cramped due to layout - had to squeeze past furniture to get into bed.

We loved the huge and gorgeous pool and its warm blue water. The stairs going into the pool water where one can hang out to relax and get some sunshine are so confortable. The hotel keeps a fab vegetation, amazing southern trees and flowers, lovely to look at from the bedroom balcony

Anne and Mario are super nice! The location was also perfect - nerby is the promenade, beach, parks, Lidl shop. Windows are facing to the other side of road, so during the night it was pretty calm for accomodation nearby the main street.
