Just 100m from the Main Railway station but so quiet. Very clean and tidy and a great breakfast. Everything is in walking distance. We stayed here 5 years ago and will stay again soon. Mercy

Marmande is probably best seen in the holiday season.

Marmande is probably best seen in the holiday season. It has a quiet charm and there are some delightful spots although the central shopping area is suffering from vacant properties and a slightly 'run down' appearance. The locals are very friendly, open and communicative and Maison Parra quite extraordinary!

A small town surrounded by smaller towns.

A small town surrounded by smaller towns. If you are looking for something, you may not find it, but if you are just looking, you will find many wonderful things and people. There is a beautiful and quiet trail along the lazy river. You'll see others, but it's not crowded.

Not much happening.

Not much happening. Not many places to eat especially if you want to sit outside - we had to as we have a dog. Two nice places to eat and they are next to each other - The Creperie Bretonne (where we ate and had great Gallettes and crepes) and a Pizza restaurant (don’t know the name) - both extremely busy - think you had to book for the pizza one. Managed to park our car in the same side street just feet away - we had a loaded car as en route south and wanted to leave it where we could see it. Visited Marmande as staying at Originals City Hotel which has a great location less than a minute off the autoroute and is excellent. However we sat and had a chat with some great professional singers from Paris who were competing in the 35th MusicFestival in Marmande - and one of them won it!

This is the most beautiful house. An exceptionally stylish and unique place to stay in Marmande - unfortunately, we only had time for one night, but would have extended our trip if we could. The host was so welcoming and made us feel at home, provided a lovely breakfast in the morning and was very happy to chat with us about the town and his amazing home. They have a spa at the property, too and when we return, we,ll be sure to book into the hammam and for a massage! A perfect place to stay in a beautiful city.

Very comfortable hotel, clean and with a walk in shower that was excellent. The staff were helpful and very friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice including scrambles eggs and sausages. The location is perfect, just next to the autoroute peage at Marmande.

Good fairly modern hotel near the train station. Very accommodating. We stayed in many versions of accommodation on our bike trip but this is the one where we had the best nights sleep due to the good, quiet air-conditioning and black out roller blinds.
