Lovely artistic town full of art galleries, history, charm, biscuit shops and bakeries. The river with all the bridges creates a perfect bucolic setting. To get there, you'd probably need a car. Must try cider drank from boule, kir breton, all the crepes and galettes you can possibly eat, mussels, les kouignettes, and many more delights.

lovely old town with lots of facilities including excellent restaurants, boat trips and electric boat hire. Lots of art galleries and interesting shops with lots of local items on show and available for purchase. Gaugin lived there and painted many of the local scenes

Without a car, getting here was tricky as I only had a brief window. It was worth it - next time I will stay in this area - the surrounding area is gorgeous, the town is adorable and I really love the crepes, bread, biscuits — i now need a few weeks of salad alone.
I walked along both sides of the canal where you can take a wooded trail. It was so pretty. On one walk, I missed a turn off and ended up on a road but I saw houses, and farms ended up at a pretty temple, so I was happy anyway! Walk up hills to see the beautiful houses…so interesting and lovely in town and out.

Beautiful small city with great history od Pont Aven painting school. Nice museum, great restaurants: La promenade, Les Mimosas and small creperies: Creperie du Port and Crêperie Auberge de la Fleur d'Ajonc (amazing Moules Fritté).

The hotel was clean, but rather Spartan! Not a luxury hotel.
The hotel was clean, but rather Spartan! Not a luxury hotel. It was not easily accessible by foot to town. Down then up a very steep hill with 100 steps - not somewhere for anybody with even minor mobility problems
The advertised free wifi in all places is not true. There is no wifi in bedrooms only in a very ‘airport’ lounge area!
Bedrooms are clean and well cared for, but I felt I was in an upmarket Hostel! Rather than a Hotel

A small town with mainly arts shops and restaurants.
A small town with mainly arts shops and restaurants. The river runs through it and your can access it to climb on some rocks - you cannot really swim in it. You need a car to explore the area.
I enjoyed a fish platter at Ets Publier Laurent- nothing fancy, you get the food plane on a plate - they have great nice wines, great views but do not exact a fancy food experience as they don’t spend time to “pimp” up the atmosphere.
Also enjoyed a real nice afternoon at the beach of Keranouat - very different from Plage Tahiti. Quiet, kite surfers and a nice road D1 that runs really along the coast which is beautiful. Eat at Le Casier - great food and very nice staff and walk along the port de Trevignon- its well worth it.
Also visited Quimper - a real nice and old town with many shops and restaurants.

Pont-aven is fairly small, but still this compact, comfortable apartment is nicely centrally located. Within walking distance of pretty much anything you will want to see or do in this quaint little village. The apartment is self-contained, with a kitchen and bathroom. It is amazing how everything was fitted into the tiny space so efficiently. Our friendly host met us at the front door when we arrived, and made sure we were parked in one of the nearby free spaces.

The property is located on a quiet residential street, just a short walk from the heart of Pont-Aven. It has all the facilities that anyone could need for a short - or even a long - stay. Inside, it's clean and comfortable, outside there's a lovely small garden and patio. Car parking is easy and the communications from the host, Virginie, were clear, concise and informative. Highly recommended!

There was free parking on the road directly outside which was very convenient when arriving. The host was so welcoming and kind. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The location was right next to the focal point of Pont-Aven, the beautiful floral bridge. The room was extremely comfortable and the decor was lovely. Would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely stay again.

Very very clean cozy apartment with a private parking that was very useful in Pont-Aven (be careful, we've seen police officers sticking fines on the windscreens of a few cars). Rozenn is a super kind owner! She meets you with a big smile, delicious breakfast and a beautiful cat in the morning!
