The environment is calm. Your neighbors will be cows on one side, and frogs croaking in the pond on the other side. The rest is forest and wildlife, with owls singing just before day breaks. Seeing the stars at night, and being alone in the property really represents this region of Dordogne, where you take time to live the essential things in life. Try to keep screens away if you want to enjoy it fully and do a digital detox :-) The house is beautiful, the garden large and welcoming for the kids to play, roads are very well maintained even though it's far into the country side (watch for deer crossing at dusk and dawn, it's a real thing down there). The owners are lovely and welcoming, as where all people in the region.
