We loved our stay at Hotel Henri IV which is exactly what we look for in a small local hotel. Hostess Toura is as sweet and welcoming as you will ever find. The room was comfortable and authentically furnished and decorated. Bicycle storage was good and the chateau is a stone's throw away. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We booked a double room and a junior suite. They were very clean and well-maintained. The suite was exceptionally spacious and we liked the structure too. Frederick the host was warm and very helpful in sharing with us that the Chateau Sully-sur-Loire would be closed the following day so that saved the day. We managed to visit it in the afternoon instead after checking in. It was just a stone's throw away, so convenient. He also recommended eating places for the evening. We had a superb dinner. Frederick went the extra mile in helping us to sort out some difficult issues with our car rental as we were left in the lurch with no transport to Amboise. He made several repeated calls to a few parties and was so patient in following up even after we had checked out. The family rates this 10/10, no less. Oh yes, breakfast was superb too!

The room itself was very pretty, with high beamed ceilings and a comfortable bed. I've never had a bathtub in my room before, so that made it unique.

Premium room in the round turret with window overlooking a busy (& mesmerizing) no-stop-signs five-way intrsection and right above the busy Monday-morning farmers' market, around the corner from bakery. Three-block walk to the Duke-of-Sully statue and another short walk to his historic castle and to the wonderful Castle Tavern.

Incredible value for the money. The establishment was very clean and exceeded our expectations, especially given the rate we paid. We were able to store our bicycles in the lobby. The owners are very nice and even helped us with our laundry! The optional breakfast was traditional French (bread, croissants, chocolate croissants, coffee and juice). The husband cooks dinner, and it was delicious, abundant and inexpensive.
