I loved the Musee de l'automobile.

I loved the Musee de l'automobile. The Chateau was okay, but the gardens were very dry, and looking parched in the heat. Horse show at the Chateau is a good experience for families with kids. It is hard to be fair to Chateau Valencay, when I had just visited Chateau Chenonceaux. If one were traveling by car, this would be a lovely, quiet small village to make day trips from.

We loved the excellent ambience of the hotel. Parts of the building were originally within the chateau estate. The bedroom was more like an apartment with separate lounge area. the breakfast was lovely with a nice choice of charcuterie, cheese home made yoghurt with fruit compote, and homemade cakes and honey. The chateau entrance is very close to the hotel and you even get discounted entry to the chateau. Our host was exceptionally helpful and welcoming.

A huge apartment with all facilities in a central quiet location, perfect to visit Valençay château. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with home made jam, cake and yoghurts. The owner took the time to talk to us at length and made us feel very welcome. It was good to have a secure and free parking . We would definitely recommend to stay in Aux portes du château if you visit the area

Benjamin was such a lovely guy. I wish we had more time to hang out but our schedule was very tight as we had lots to see. Nikki the dog was super nice. The house is a beautiful farm like stay. The shower was really nice . The location is great to go exploring valencay and other local towns Benjamin was super helpful and just a great guy

Perfect location, for the SOE 80 th memorial at Valencay, charming and very helpful hosts, the cottage is beautifully appointed with everything that you need, very comfortable beds, impeccably clean.
