This BnB was a great find for an overnight stay while riding La Dolce Via. I was the first Australian to stay there and I can highly recommend it. The hosts are very friendly, the rooms are large and well appointed. When I arrived with a flat back tyre (lucky it happened close to the town) there was a place under the house where I could fix the puncture and recharge the rented e-bike battery. Saint Sauveur is a small pretty village on the Eyrieux river and on the Tuesday night I was there all the restaurants were closed. But the lovely hostess offered a meal which featured local specialities and was delicious. The breakfast the next morning was hearty and I left well prepared to ride the 95km back to Tournon.

You are really like with your relatives/friends: the host is very friendly and informal. The dinner (€35/person) was very very heavy (by quantity) for us, but of excellent real french taste. The menu was adopted to us in advance (the owner called us). A couple of nice friendly dogs was a big + for our kids. Swimming pool was available. Rooms are all new and well decorated and equipped. Service at dinner and breakfast was like in a 5* hotel.

Set within 30 hectares of parkland in Ardeche, Château D'urbilhac offers guestrooms in a castle restored in the 19th Century. There is also a holiday home on site.

What a beautiful chateau and surroundings! We had a wonderful stay in this peaceful location. The rooms are full of charm and the pool is perfect for cooling down on hot summer days. The set menu dinners were delicious.
