United StatesTraveling around Europe for a few weeks and had a wedding to go to in a little town nearby. I just needed a place to stay the night but this was the best room that I have stayed in on my trip so far. I wish I had stayed longer. The bed was amazingly comfortable and everything was clean. The only negative was some pigeons making a ruckus outside the window in the morning.

Clare is a pretty little town, well worth a visit with...
Clare is a pretty little town, well worth a visit with plenty to see and do. The walks from the Country Park are well marked and easy to follow. There is a shortage of dinner venues on Mondays, however we can recommend the Indian restaurant.

Smallest town in Suffolk it has lots to offer from the country park to various small boutique shops and cafes, 4 pubs - 3 offering food and one full of history and locals, indian restaurant and a couple of takeaways. Easy reach of other places of interest

We used Clare as a base to visit places in Suffolk/Essex/Cambridgeshire.
Our favourite places in Clare itself were Clare Castle, the old railway line/station buildings and Clare Priory.
It's very easy to get around Clare, it's only a small place so pretty much everything is in walking distance.

A lovely town with very pretty old buildings. The best meal we had was at the Mughal Knight Indian Restaurant (tip - bring your own drink they are not currently serving alcohol and there is no corkage charge for bring-your-own).

We stayed here one night on a cycle tour. The greeting as we arrived was extremely friendly and welcoming, which we liked a lot. The accommodation was quiet, comfortable and lacked for nothing and the situation was perfect for visiting Clare. We also appreciated the accurate round-up of local places to eat in the evening and breakfast the following morning was very good.

The cottage is in a great location right in the centre of the small town of Clare - there is a lot to do locally and in the wider Suffolk/Essex/Cambridgeshire area. The cottage is very well equipped so no need to bring too much from home. The OS Explorer maps provided are a great idea - very useful for walks on local footpaths!

Ideal location right in the centre of Clare. Not a lot of space, but well arranged to make best use of space available. Sweet little courtyard area outside. Received detailed and helpful instructions to access cottage, and it was ready ahead of scheduled time.

Breakfast excellent. Clare is pretty place and castle park is worth a visit. Loved the outdoor smoking area.
