Great location for visiting Minsmere and other nature reserves. Quiet location set back from the road. Easy and safe off street parking. The fridge was really nice to have. Excellent takeaway breakfast provided so we could get an early start. The hosts are lovely people and helped us out in a pinch (lent us a pump for a leaking tire until we could get it fixed the next morning, which saved our day- thank you!)

we enjoyed the museum and the abbey ruins. theres a large coop very close by.. its a short distance from Aldeborough where the fish and chips is first class it has nice art galleries and clothes shops.. Southwold is a little further away it has a lovely sandy beach and a pier..

We liked Leiston after we found parking places. The local people were very helpful. A good position to see the surrounding villages and sights. Did not like all the work going on regarding Sizewell C

A great location, to access all the local villages and beachesLeiston itself has a great Co-op, some lovely coffee shops and great fish and chips….great quality and value. Everyone was so friendly - defiantly visit again!

My recommendation is to stay at the White Horse Inn, in Leiston, which didn't come up when I searched, maybe because they have a charge for dogs. I walked there from where I'd booked (1mile from Butcher's Arms, Knodishall). Next time I visit Sizewell beach, I will stay at the White Horse. Didn't get a chance to look around Leiston itself this time.

We knew Leiston of old.

We knew Leiston of old. This is not an upmarket tourist town, but its location for Minsmere (and ineed much of Suffolk - Blythburgh, Southwold, Saxmundham, Framlingham, Aldeburgh, Snape etc. - is excellent. And all the people we met were great.

Leiston is well located for visiting other places nearby...

Leiston is well located for visiting other places nearby such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Southwold and Sizewell but is not a particularly attractve in its own right. Plenty of local fast food places to eat but you have to move a little ot of the town for bit more variety. Great location for visiting the Suffolk coast and far more down to earth, friendly, less snobby and definitely cheaper than its near neighbours.

The hosts Alistair and Ruth were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you both. The garden room is lovely with two armchairs and a very comfortable bed.The television is on a swivel so can be watched from the chairs or the bed.A nice touch, I thought. The garden is lovely, and it was nice to sit out with a glass of wine. Breakfast was excellent, and Alistair is very willing to accommodate any dietry wishes. Leiston itself is a great spot for visiting Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. We will definitely be back.

The room was quite spacious as was the ensuite. I found the bed very comfortable and water pressure in the shower was noticeably above average for rural hotels and B&Bs. Food in the restaurant was very good with separate dining areas away from the main bar. Really good breakfast facilities and choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly who made secure lockable arrangements for my cycle overnight as I was on a cycle tour tour around Suffolk.

Location was perfect for us visiting a relative in Leiston. Very quiet and convenient. Spotless inside and plenty of room for us and our dog. Beds comfortable and we had plenty of towels, tea and coffee. Breakfast (choice, standard and quantity) was superb. Hosts were welcoming and polite. Only stayed one night but could not fault anything. Great value for money. Will be back.
