We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The accomodation was lovely, breakfast exceptional as were the staff. Particular thanks to Caroline on reception.

Amazing location, cozy accomodation, welcoming and smiling hosts, great value for money, super clean interiors, sumptuous breakfast, at a walking distance from all amenities and next to the fantastic Shanklin cliff - what else can you ask for ! The ambience at the bar and restaurants were great. Would love to visit again .

Our room faces the sea and gives us a wonderful start to each morning we wake up. We had a lovely breakfast every day, and polite and kind all-around hosts (You're the man, Steve!). Amenities are top-notch (love the pool/billiards table - my partner played his first billiards match here!). I love the spacious bathroom with tub, electric fan, wardrobe and a small fridge for our fresh food. The room is maintained daily by the cleaning staff. I love that they continuously improve and restore the facilities. It is also near the public transport station, giving us access to the city and other interesting locations around the island. We will certainly consider booking this place again when we go back to the Island!

Good facilities & fantastic location.

The breakfast was perfect, lots of choice, perfectly cooked and served. My room was spotless and wonderfully presented on my arrival. And a surprisingly well-stocked hotel bar at reasonable pub prices. I can't praise the wonderful staff any higher as nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile!

We recently spent three wonderful nights at Haven Hall. Upon our arrival we were personally greeted by proprietor David Barratt who stated “Welcome to Haven Hall, my home.” He gave us a tour of the house and the magnificent grounds that overlook the Channel. David, and his lovely wife, Arielle, live in the house, manage everything, and are accessible 24/7 for what ever question or need that may arise. Their attention to detail is superb, which is evident everywhere you look. They are engaging to chat with should you so desire and have good suggestions on what to do and where to eat. Breakfast was wonderful out on the terrace overlooking the Channel. Their staff couldn’t do enough for us. They have an electric charging station which was a nice touch. The pool area, which we enjoyed, is secluded and inviting. The water is heated. There are changing rooms and a sauna. A grass tennis court. I highly recommend Haven Hall and look forward to a return.

The hotels very dated and food wasn't in with the price but the menu wasn't great and the car ferry was £92 not free. We liked the fact it was sea front and close to everything

We travelled as a couple and stayed here on the 26th/27th April. it was our first time to the Isle of Wight and we had a lovely time. The Fig Tree Hotel was a great choice as it's very modern, clean and comfortable. The location is really close-by to the seafront as well as the old village of Shanklin with some notable places worth checking out like the Shanklin Chine which is less than a 10 minute walk away. The staff/hosts at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming! We ended up enjoying the hot tub in the hotel too which was a lovely way to unwind after exploring this beautiful island.

The room was very clean and it had a little alcove where you could sit and read you weren't in the actual room with the bed it was great. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much for them. Would definitely visit again.

The hosts were great and the breakfast was amazing. We got a room with a sea view as requested and it was nice and comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay there and we'll definitely be back for more.
