Everything about this place is lovely, most especially the warm and gracious host and owner. We loved our short stay. Rooms are charming and there are lovely touches all over the Inn, with unique artwork created by the owner and antiques or crafts that convey the thoughtful renovation of a 1700s structure. Breakfast is fantastic. Hotel is very quiet, has private parking.

The lovely ambience and family feel of the hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to make you feel at home. Jovana and Niamh along with Steve were always cheerful, chefs, Gary and Hannah were very accommodating in preparing Ready brek for my son who had mouth abscess and unfortunately couldn't eat. Thank you to Karen and Natalie on reception for making our stay complete. An added bonus was the fact we had a ground floor room with access to the car park through patio doors.

A super place to stay. Gorgeous bedroom with comfy bed. Safe parking. Quirky arty decor. Welcoming host who made me feel at ease as a solo traveller. Short walk to beach and to local eatery. Delicious cooked breakfast, with bonus muffin to go!

Skinningrove is a tucked away hidden gem perfect for the wondering explorer. Peaceful and welcoming a grate fishing spot with ideal hill walks. The beach has an array of rock type and cliff that are so fascinating with the beautiful powerful waves of the ocean.

As a base, Skinningrove was perfectly placed for walks along the Cleveland Way. There is a chip shop in the village near the sea and a cafe/restaurant further inland. Grocery shopping was found a 5 minute drive away in loftus - coop. Personally, we wouldn't choose to stay in Skinningrove again. It was like living in the middle of a grotty housing estate. Not really a holiday destination 😕 Buses are caught from the main road which gives you great access to all coastal areas. Staithes, Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Ruswick Bay were all worth a visit!

Fantastic beach, children loved body boarding.

Fantastic beach, children loved body boarding. Fish and chips shop opened since we were last there. Worth going to, everything was freshly cooked. Village shop has now closed, so asda best to get shopping from. Only downside, very few people cleaned up after their dogs, had to watch where you walked all the time.

lady was very friendly who owned the property and very accommodating. the reason i moved on to helmsley was that my legs were not brilliant to do more of the cleveland way otherwise i would have stayed longer but i spent the day in a spa in helmsley recovering my legs. The weather had gone off on the sunday also although that wouldnt have stopped me it was my bad legs which are still recovering. Too much at gym really.
