A characterful and dinky little spot in the perfect location in Southwell, a couple of minutes away from the Minster. Great price for a sweet, warm and cozy room. Had lots of thoughtful little touches such as milk and coffee. It is tiny but has everything you need; WiFi, microwave, hob and even some TV subscription channels. The owner was very sweet and accommodating with us and provided useful guides on the room and the area. Due to the central location you might benefit from earplugs due to being close to the road, though it isn't a busy road off peak.

The Minster, archbishop's palace ruin and gardens, the preserved Workhouse and other historic buildings give it great charm. Well worth visiting, as is the Horological Museum at nearby Upton (open only on Fridays)

Southwell is a lovely town.

Southwell is a lovely town. We found the local people to be very friendly and helpful. Southwell Minster is really welcoming and certainly worth visiting. The local restaurants and pubs were very good. Lots of independent shops. Southwell is a great base for visiting Sherwood Forest and National Trust properties.

Southwell is a lovely town, ideally placed between Nottingham and Newark. The Minster is impressive and there is a variety of independent shops and coffee shops and eateries. Lots of countryside walks - easy one to NT Workhouse. Racecourse too. A real sense of community and various events throughout the year.

It's delightfully small and rural.

It's delightfully small and rural. Shopping small and compact. The Minster is worth seeing and they have an extensive shop in Church Street for spouvenirs. Parking was qujte good despite the extra visitors for Bramley Apple Festival Saturday

The town has a very good variety of shops and cafes and it is easily walkable. The Minster and gardens are well worth a visit. There are some lovely, old buildings in the town such as the Saracens Head.

We stayed here one night after attending a wedding nearby so didn't spend a lot of time there. The bed was comfortable. The shower in the ensuite was powerful. The location was great, nearly in the centre of Southwell. It was easy to park on the street with no parking restrictions. It was very reasonably priced.

The pod was really thoughtfully equipped, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It is located in a secure location, very accessible to supermarkets, places to eat and Southwell. The pods had plenty of space between them.

Old hotel with a lovely character. Very helpful staff. Well situated. We were in the area for a wedding at Norwood hall and this was just 5 minutes away. Rooms looked lovely and breakfast was well cooked and tasty.

Excellent location, within walking distance to all amenities in Southwell. A cosy, little cottage that has kept its charm. A lovely sun trap to sit and relax to the front of the cottage. Quiet and private.
