Breakfast was lovely. Paul seems to really enjoy cooking up a good start to your day and his lady wife and granddaughter were super helpful and pleasant. The diningroom is spectacular! Make sure you check out the plasterwork in the ceiling! We loved our room. It was huge and the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was massive. Good water pressure in the shower. The view overlooking the garden was great to wake up to. That and Pepsi the big black lab. But the best thing was the location. It was easy access to everything we wanted to see plus. a handy petrol station just up the road. Lots of on-site parking and the entrance is well marked so there's no trouble finding the place in the dark.

A warm welcome by a lovely host. It’s evident how much thought and attention to detail has gone into this property, making it in my opinion one of the best places I’ve stayed in which met my every need. As a solo, female traveller, I felt both peaceful and secure, the property is tastefully decorated with thoughtful touches and it is spotlessly clean. I would not hesitate to recommend and I am very much looking forward to making my next booking very soon.

Booked a hotel to attend a comedy show at the nearby Holland...

Booked a hotel to attend a comedy show at the nearby Holland Centre and made a weekend of it. Good town centre and Saturday market for local plants and bulbs with a nice meal at Prezzo in the evening. Great walk along the river. Good to visit the Old Forge and Sailmakers Cottage (free entry) where we stumbled on a jewellery making class and a good visit to the Museum and gardens at Ayscoughfee Hall (free entry) where they had a free lightshow in the evening.

spading has a market day on saturday there banks and...

spading has a market day on saturday there banks and building society are still open there . lots of places to eat and have a drink . it a lovely walk along the river seeing ducks swans other birds and wildlife along the river and lots of building new and old very clean the centre no cars allowed in some areas people where friendly and helpful in Spalding . while you staying that way do visit bay tree garden centre it has loads pets world play centre for children owl centre weekends boot sale check out for your self there a water taxi from spring fields shops to Spalding again check there web site for more details

Visiting Spalding to see family

Visiting Spalding to see family The Olive Tree is a very nice restaurant Have also eaten at the Kitana Japanese restaurant quite a few pubs East to walk around The Battle of Britain Memorial flight is a < 1 hour drive away at RAF Conningsby a must for plane buffs plus you get to see Typhoons.

We were visiting family and friends in the area, so the hotel worked very well for us. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming, this is our second stay here and would recommend. The breakfasts are very good and hot too.

I was house hunting so didn't see to much of spalding except for a walk round on my last day. I thoroughly recommend Turners fish n chips. It was so tasty with the perfect amount of batter and a very reasonable price.

Great town, walks along river and also a water taxi. Good museums. Lots of restaurants which cater for all diets, reasonably priced. Also nice shopping centre, Saturday market, good charity shops. Very easy to get around most places walkable.

We really liked this hotel, and if staying in Spalding, it's worth the 5 mins walk down the road. There was an issue with our room, which was dealt with by the staff to our satisfaction. It's a nice old building which has the inevitable slight defects, but we very much enjoyed our stay and will return should the need arise again.

Great location with easy access to Spalding town centre. Room was quoted as a small double but it was more than big enough for the two of us and had a lovely view over the river. Lovely comfy bed and hot shower and a great breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
