Bed was super-comfortable, room was clean and warm. Shower was excellent - plenty of complimentary amenities provided. Good selection for breakfast at the buffet and cooked option was delicious. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, really enjoyable stay.

Lovely bedroom with a massive bath in the room which was great after a day's walking. The food at dinner and breakfast was top notch, the staff attentive and friendly. A very nice stay and we'll definitely be back.

I visited Danebury Hill Fort after I left my accommodation.

I visited Danebury Hill Fort after I left my accommodation. It's an amazing site! I didn't realise it was so nearby and am glad I visited. It was a lovely walk, with clearly laid-out paths, around an ancient archaeological site with woodland grazed by Highland cattle. Highly recommended!

Stockbridge is a lovely quaint village.

Stockbridge is a lovely quaint village. Make sure you arrive early before the shops shut as it is lovely wandering along the street and visiting many boutique shops with very friendly retailers. Make sure you walk around the river test to see the swans. Stockbridge is surrounded by water so if you have young ones be mindful of the streams and rivers. There is a small co-op, cafes and places to eat to suit all budgets. A lovely place to celebrate an occasion, we stayed at The Greyhound on the Test which is a little more expensive (but our NZ exchange rate renders everything expensive for us in the UK). The hotel has a very nice menu and has a direct link to the river test which has swans (swanning about) and nice fly fisherman will share some local history about the fishing and rivers.

Beautiful location on the Test & great for access to Winchester/Salisbury/ Meon Valley/ New Forest or the Coast. Good selection of independent shops & restaurants for a small town.

Stockbridge is a lovely little town with a selection of independent shops and restaurants/cafes/pubs. It is made all the more characterful by the River Test running right by the main street. We find it a great place to stop off for the night, as it's halfway between home (Somerset) and S.W. London which we visit sometimes.

Stockbridge is a cosy, colourful and quaint town in Hampshire with the river Test running through it. People who are lucky enough to live here are clearly happy as they all seem cheery and show kindness to visitors. There are lots of little shops and good cafe's. If you are into fly fishing, Robjent's on the high street has all the gear you could dream of along with expert advice.

The town of STOCKBRIDGE is a few miles away but pleasant wlk about with a few shops and restaurants. we ate at a lovely restaurant just outside of STOCKBRIDGE i think it was called the Mayfly right on the riverbank nice place to eat. a Fullers establishment. FREE PARKING IN STOCKBRIDGE A BONUS.

Location is fabulous with a great breakfast. Lovely old pub/hotel that could do with a bit of a freshen up as the rooms are a little tired, but it's the perfect place to stay if you're fishing or just exploring the Test Valley.
