The absolute best thing was the location. Right under the castle with a great view of it, and just about equidistant from the ferry terminal and the beach that’s down the other side. It’s in a square right next to a cafe and a gyro restaurant, taxi stand and ATM. Plenty of hot water and it was clean. Person who checked me in was friendly and communicated with me before arrival.

Brand new, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped apartment in the perfect location—walking distance to both the center and Panteli, with a dreamy view right from the bed. Evripidis is by far the best host I’ve ever met. From greeting us at the port to checking in even after our stay, his kindness and attention to detail made our trip unforgettable even I had some health issues. From the moment we arrived , hosts Caroline and Maria treated us like family . Everything we needed was there . Big , spacious rooms and the view from balcony was amazing . Short 6-8min stroll to port . The fridge had fresh fruit , fresh bread , cheese and ham, bathroom and laundry had all supplies needed . They went above and beyond . A Hidden Gem in Leros! I had an amazing stay at Hotel Alea Mare and can’t recommend it enough! First off, the location is perfect — just steps from the beach with stunning views of the Aegean Sea. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and the ideal place to unwind. The price was more than reasonable for the quality and experience. You truly get great value here without sacrificing comfort or charm. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast each morning — fresh, local ingredients, great variety, and all served with a smile. A perfect start to the day, whether you're off to explore the island or just relax by the water. And speaking of smiles — the bartender was absolutely lovely! Friendly, attentive, and always ready with a good drink and even better conversation. It's those personal touches that make a place feel like home. If you're heading to Leros, do yourself a favor and stay here.

Agia Marina is a peaceful traditional Greek Island...

Agia Marina is a peaceful traditional Greek Island destination. The ferry port is here. It can be considered as the most central place in the Leros island. It is very close to Alinda and Pantelli where you can find fine beaches and restaurants. We ate in Zorba's Taverna and Psaropoula in Pantelli, Metzes Restaurant in Agia Marina and Anemos Pizza in Alinda. I highly recommend Psaropoula and Anemos Pizza. Zorba's and Metzes were disappointing for us and not worth the money. You don't need to rent a car if you do not intend to travel every corner of the island. We just hired taxi with maximum 10-15 Euros to visit Pantelli, Lakki, and Pantelli Castle. We stayed in Thassos Apartments 2 in Agia Marina center, which I can definitely recommend. Overall, I would definitely visit Leros and Agia Marina again when I need to get away from daily hassles and get a fresh breath of Agean breeze.

A truly relaxing stay, excellent facilities including a balcony and laundry facilities. Bed was super comfy and the lights were adequate for reading purposes. There was a fabulous vegan restaurant nearby as well as a beach with sun loungers…right up our street! Leros we loved you.

Pretty beaches.

Pretty beaches. There are spots where there are minimum spending limit for sunbeds and otherwise you can put your towel were you want to (preferably shadowy) and enjoy the beach & the sea. The local restaurants are all very delightful and the food was awesome and reasonably priced.

The location listing of the property is a little confusing.

The location listing of the property is a little confusing. Aneta's Suite is actually in PANDELI (not Agia Marina). Pandeli is much quieter and less windy than Agia Marina which is 3km away on the other side of the bay. Pandeli is very picturesque with little traffic. It has a small marina and several good quality restaurants, several of which are located right by the sea (they are restaurants not beach bars).

Highly recommend ! An excellent new boutique hotel near the beach. Location is perfect. Everything was amazing. The room,bathroom and kitchen are perfectly decorated and brand new. The owner of the hotel Vera is incredibly helpful,friendly and lovely woman. She offered us home made baklava, jams and one bottle local wine :) We had really great two days like as dream. Many Thanks for everything ! Hope see you next summer again !

This was our second visit to Utopia and everything was fine - staff are welcoming and helpful and the apartments are set around a nice garden. Rooms are quiet, a good size, comfortable and facilities are fine. The apartments are a bit of a walk from Agia Marina (15 mins or so), but this is not difficult. The beach in the bay is OK and is only a two minute walk from the apartments.
