The room was spacious and with an amazing view!! The staff were very helpful and welcoming. They provided us with a complimentary room upgrade that we are thankful for! The food at the restaurant was tasty and the area by the pool is very beautiful. The location is great, with a breathtaking view of the famous Koukounaries beach but also easy access to it, either on foot or with the hotel buses, which are available every 15 minutes.

We had excellent communication with the property manager. We are allowed an early check-in free of charge since our ferry arrived early in the port. Our host was there to welcome us in the apartment that was clean and ready. The place that includes couple of apartments is located in the quiet wooded area close to Koukounaries beach. We had 15 minutes walk to the beach. There is a nice yard next to apartment that our kids loved to play in. There are couple of different restaurants in the vicinity as well as two markets where we were buying groceries and fruits.

The location has an amazing view to the see. The apartment was very clean and they cleaned it every day. We also got clean towels daily witch was really nice. The hot tube is quite a nice touch, nothing more relaxing and romantic than to have a glass of wine in the evenings with that view. Dionysi, the hoast, was really really friendly and helped us with all we needed ❤️ All the staff was friendly and helpful, and that made our stay even better. Thank you Salty Wave for an amazing stay 🙏 ❤️

My partner and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Skiathos Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and taken care of. The service was amazing the staff was incredibly kind, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. They truly made our experience even more special. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to everything and with such a beautiful atmosphere. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The beaches through the forest were amazing, clean peaceful with no sports, music. Food and drinks available and very kind people. Local restaurants were very good and reasonable as were the supermarkets. The bus service is brilliant. Would definitely visit again.

Koukounaries is really just a single (quite busy) road that runs behind a lake from one end of the Koukounaries beach to the other. The beach itself is fine golden sand with lots of facilities (loungers, boat and pedallo hire, bars and cafes), there is also public toilets in the centre of the beach ( a rarity in Greece) and is about 1km long. It gets very busy during the day. Access is easy as there is a regular bus from Skiathos town that stops along the road. There is also a Water Bus boat service from Skiathos town harbour ( cost E7 each way PO). There is also a car park at the Western end of the road but it does get filled up early. The main road is home to numerous bars, restaurants, hotels and apartment blocks and two small supermarkets. There is a small scruffy section in the centre of the road where there is a derelict hotel and apartment block that needs tidying up. For those who like there beaches more stripped back there is also 4 or 5 beaches on the northern section of the peninsula within a 20 or 30 minute walk from the road. You can walk along the shore of the lake but you cannot easily walk all around because of thick vegetation at the eastern end.

Walkable distance to the beaches, going through the pine forest or the wet land in Koukounaries (loved the smell in the pine forest and of the wild herbs colse to it). Bus station very close, can get fairly easy in Skiathos town.

Nice beach, but a bit overcrowded (in the number of persons / number of sunbeds). Although, in the see you don't feel the crowd. Koukounaries is a bit far away from Skiathos Town (45 minutes to 1 hour the bus drive). small market shops in koukounaries are very expensive (at least 2 times more than a usual supermarket, while the selection of products is limited).

Peaceful and tranquil surroundings, out of town location (15min drive), lot's of beaches to choose from in walking distance. You can find great options for lunch and dinner that's cost effective and very tasty!

Koukounaries is a remote village surrounded by forest, 15-30 minutes walk to very beautiful beaches. I missed the seaviews and the nightlife. None of the properties in this area has seaview, because there is a lake and a forest that separates the main road from the beach. I would recommend to rent a car or something else to go to the beaches around. When it is very hot, it is not comfortable to walk 30 minutes under the sun. Bear in mind that the area is full of rats, especially if the property is in the wood. My friends ( 6 families) were staying at Driades and I was terrified to see rats in the garden among children playing. Not to mention at night! ( of course we have photos and videos) I have eaten at Under the pine, which is nice and at Big Bad Wolf, where we have paid 12 euros for the bread! But the seabass and the lamb chops were perfect. The beaches nearby are quite beautiful. My favorite was Mandraki Elias. Agia Eleni is a nice beach, too. Koukounaries is very crowded, but it is ok to go for a day or two.

Nice room and very friendly owners. The Busstop is right in front of the biulding, the bus drives across the whole island. The room got cleaned very well every day and we got clean towels every day too. The maistrali studios have a bar right next to it. The owner makes the best drinks we had on the island and theire cheaper as well. The owner couple are very helpful, they can tell you where to visit and the guy has fun story's to tell from all the years in skiathos.

Great location, very close to Koukounaries beach, but also Banana beach (which is lovely 😍) an another two small beaches. Very clean and comfy, nice view from the balcony and a small nice terrace with a playground that is good for small kids. A lot of green around, beautiful flowers well taken care of. The two Romanian hose-keepers (Doina & Eugen) are extremely nice and helpful with anything you need. We had a wonderful stay!

Room was lovely, we were upgraded to a family suite which was enormous. Really clean with good showers and comfortable bed. Air conditioning was excellent. Although we didn’t use the beach it was just a 5/10 min walk. Breakfast was a good quality, plenty of choice. The bus stop is very close to hotel and they run every 10 mins into Skiathos town for a couple of euros.

A lovely quiet room in a beautiful location, just a short stroll to the beach and to the bus stop (easy to reach Skiathos Town and the airport). The beaches are amongst the best in Greece - at least when they're empty, which they were when we visited (we had two days from Oct 9th). The beach bar on the main beach was about the only place open, but it was perfect.
