We needed a last minute hotel to stay near the airport and we wanted a pool and beach. This had both. We checked in at 11 pm and we were hungry. Our ferry was delayed and the hotel had a person at the front desk 24 hours. The cafe was open until midnight kitchen closed at 11:30. I ordered muscles and they were fresh and delicious. Our flight was delayed and for an additional 20 Euro we were able to check out at 2 pm the next day. The room was clean, staff very friendly. The beach was across the street and there were people handing out water. They had snacks to purchase and the chairs and umbrellas were free of charge and entrance to the beach was also free. The room and hotel itself need a makeover. It’s very old, however for what we spent for the night it was clean and safe and a short taxi ride to the airport. We took an uber which was less expensive than their taxi transfer. I would go back again when arriving in Athens.

Porto Rafti seems to be a quiet coastal town with plenty of...

Porto Rafti seems to be a quiet coastal town with plenty of potential for regrowth based on its diverse history. There are plenty of local eats (phenomenal!) at competitive pricing, beautiful beaches, and very nice local people. We found ourselves to be the “only” tourists from what we could tell, but couldn’t have chosen a better introduction to Greece ahead of the next parts of our trip in Athens, Mykonos and Santorini. If I have the chance in the future, I will 100% come back to Porto Rafti and Kiani Akti hotel!!

Porto rafti has amazing coffee restaurants at the beach.

Porto rafti has amazing coffee restaurants at the beach. Has any type of food you need. It has also quiet and nice neighbourhoods. Its a same destination , for relaxed holidays and its near the airport. Near Athens near other surrounding areas for you to explore. Its just the perfect choice.

Our trip was during the off-season, and it was very quiet.

Our trip was during the off-season, and it was very quiet. The restaurants were quiet and not many people around. It is not a pedestrian friendly town and there is very little space to walk on the side of the roads. However, we commented that it would be a nice place to visit during high season and spend a few days away from the city hustle and bustle.

The harbor restaurants were expensive but good seafood.

The harbor restaurants were expensive but good seafood. Not much to do in the town but it's beautiful. Looked like the smaller, more affordable version of the Amalfi coast. Bus is pretty good to get around town. Light hiking/ walking opportunities. We really just chose to stay here because its 20 mins to the airport and something different than busy Athens. I wouldn't stay again but I am glad we got to see the town, it really was super cute on the harbor.

Felt safe to walk around as a solo traveller, not a lot of shops but it has everything you need for a short stay. Lovely views, perfect if you like swimming in the sea. Really close to the airport without feeling like it. Not hugely busy even in the middle of summer, perfect for a quiet getaway

Great for swimming, fresh air and a lot of cafes and restaurants. About 30 minutes from the airport. Buses are not that reliable out of season so a car hire might be needed. Erotospilia beach was lovely but expect a walk as you cannot park nearby.
