The appartment is simply amazing, it is huge (two quite spacious bedrooms, an enormous living space and a large terrace), modernized (has all possible kitchen utensils, an oven, large counter) and super clean. The view from the terrace is to die for, especially with the morning sun. Maria, the host is beyond words - ask her for suggestions and she will give you best possible tips about honey, oil and everything else, always available and kind. Best place on Krete!

Keramos is Family hotel in village Zaros. We stayed one night. In the morning we were on the road early to follow our schedule, so we didn't have time for breakfast. I'm sorry about that because I can imagine it would be another pleasure from a family kitchen. Nearby there is a hotels car park space. The pictures on the site speak for themselves and it's real! The real pleasure was a relaxing evening in the small pool located on the roof of the building. All recommendations!

Moírai is a passing through kind of place between Phaistos...

Moírai is a passing through kind of place between Phaistos and Ierapetra. Nestling in the truly vast Mesara plain with its millions of olive trees, Moírai is a modern town with two main roads running through it and many, many pick-up trucks. However, all the words which had been said to us regarding the town had vanished by early Saturday morning because Saturday is the day of the when the street our hotel was on is closed at both ends and overnight turns into the weekly local market. Starting around 3:00am an entire village of stands went up sheltering mountains of bananas, heaps of tomatoes, piles of cucumbers, wheelbarrows full of beans. Clothes, cheese, fish everything you might need a decent market to have it was all here. We did buy lots of that produce to take to our next stopping place which had catering facilities. If you're planning a trip which takes in southern Crete and going between point A and point B book the Friday night into the Olympic hotel because you won't be disappointed by the market the following day it truly does live up to its reputation as one of the best.
