Vourvourou is a beautiful destination with crystal-clear water, stunning views, and a relaxing atmosphere. We especially enjoyed being just a 1–2 minute walk from the beach. The scenery is wonderful and makes it a great place for a peaceful vacation. However, our experience at the local beach was mixed. The beach itself was not as clean as we expected, and there were several boats anchored nearby, with others coming and going. At times, the smell of fuel was noticeable, which affected the otherwise beautiful setting. We also visited Maugli Beach Bar, where we had excellent cocktails and enjoyed the friendly service. However, we were disappointed by their beach policy. On our first visit, we spent over €40 on drinks and food, assuming we could relax on the sunbeds while enjoying our order. Instead, we were informed that using two sunbeds and umbrellas required an additional €25 until 4:00 PM. Since we already had our own beach chairs and umbrella in the car, we chose not to pay the extra fee. We were then asked to move to the small public beach area, which was very limited and not ideal for families with children. The issue wasn't the money itself-it was that this policy was never explained before we ordered. Had we known in advance, we could have made an informed decision. In our opinion, customers should be clearly informed about such conditions before placing an order. If a beach bar controls most of the beach area, its pricing and access rules should be communicated openly. It would also be reasonable to offer more flexible options for guests who only want to stay for a few hours instead of charging the full-day beach fee. Greece has always been one of our favorite destinations because of its hospitality, beautiful beaches, and welcoming atmosphere. We hope businesses continue to prioritize transparency and customer experience, as these are among the reasons people choose to return year after year.

Visit Ormos Panagias as well it has great restaurants.

Visit Ormos Panagias as well it has great restaurants. In Vourvourou bar/restaurant Anchor has a breakfast buffet and shows football in evening. Opposite of that is Mandala Alter Tavern which had best greek food during our stay. I recommend you take a day trip to the Diaporos island by boat taxi or renting a boat. In my opinion a boat taxi is better at only 40€ from Blue Lagoon boat rental.

Nice beaches nearby (we explore them by Paddle board but there are also 600 boats to rent for a day trip). The city beach is not blue water and seems more like a lake, but there are many other possibilities at the place.

Vourvourou is maybe great for people who like calm places, around the nature, but there are no good beaches and not many places to visit / for dinner, beach bar/, there is also no walking area near the sea. Karidi beach is nice place but maybe to visit in May/June. It's also great for people who like boats.

Vourvourou is very close to some lovely beaches like Karydi...

Vourvourou is very close to some lovely beaches like Karydi and Fava and you can also do a boat tour of the Diaporos island, which has many lovely spots. But Vourvourou's own beach was not appealing to me (very shallow, warm, and a bit murky in places), so you would need a car for the nice beaches.

The village itself is nothing special.

The village itself is nothing special. There is nowhere you can eat in the morning if you don't have breakfast in your hotel. A must do is a boat rental, as there are plenty of places and small beaches to go.
