- Hostess was THE GREATEST! Super-friendly, kind, generous, personable, and intent of ensuring we had the best experience. She shared local food she grew and prepared herself, gave us six fresh eggs from her chickens, we met her 90 year old mother who was visiting, and separated dried mint leaves from the stem with her. SUCH A LOVELY, LONG REMEMBERED EXPERIENCE! - Location - was perfect for what we were looking for. A two-day stopover point between Pula and Plitvice Lakes NP. - Local trails, walks through the small town, were so relaxing, enjoyable, immersive. - The local people were SO FRIENDLY and nice. - The apartment was perfect. Super roomy, super clean, super comfortable, smart TV, bed was large - sheets were soft, kitchen was well stocked. - The bathroom was perfect. Large, powerful shower, sizable sink and bath area, stocked with soaps, shampoo, conditioner. - Her flower and vegetable garden was lovely to enjoy, and the chickens fun to watch. - Parking not a problem inside the yard. - We were able to communicate in English and use a translation app, when necessary.

Honestly, there's not a lot to do.

Honestly, there's not a lot to do. There are some trails in the area that are nice, and a couple not too far out of town, and the town itself is nice to wander through. So, if you have in mind a stay that is completely relaxed, immersive, in a natural setting with GREAT VIBES all around, this is a great place to visit. We would not even know about it if we didn't just pick a place to stay for 2 days to break up our drive. But, what a stroke of GREAT FORTUNE!

Small village in the middle of nowhere, at least 20km by car...

Small village in the middle of nowhere, at least 20km by car on narrow winding broken road to get there. Nothing interesting around, maybe hiking in the hills and forests, but you easily find more attractive places. We only wandered here because there was one of the few available places for sleepover in the wider area.

Beautifull small village on a nice isolated plateau amongst...

Beautifull small village on a nice isolated plateau amongst the hills. Once a home to olympic Centre Bjelolasica (currently under renovation). Lots of trails around, top choice for mountain lovers. Great base for Gorski Kotar and north part of the Lika. Lovely 20-minute ride throught the forrest - please drive carefully, we encountered a pair of young fawns on the road. ;-)
