Honestly I loved everything. I'm from Brazil so beautiful beaches are no news to me but Cast Away is just spectacular! I don't think a view can get any prettier. I also loved the contact with the nature and the two dogs that were there, playing with them made our stay even better. The common areas were remarkably clean and we found everything we needed. Didier, the host, is another highlight - since the reservation, he's been nothing but kind and informative. I would love to return to this place!

Zeljko is a FANTASTIC host! We had a great time talking with him about the area, about Croatian history and politics and the broader region. He is so intelligent, funny and kind. The location is, to put it mildly, a little slice of heaven. Everywhere you look is like a postcard. One of the most special experiences we've ever had. The beach was so gorgeous, SO MANY FISH so if you enjoy snorkeling or diving you are in for a treat. Really recommend bringing a snorkel at least. While there were some cloudy days, it never got that cold while we were there and was quite warm overall (mid-to-late September). The water was glorious. The town of Zavala is quaint and there are olive groves and grape vine fields everywhere. At night, the stars are beaming and you can see hints of the Milky Way. Not even kidding. Since there is no light pollution or anything to get in the way, the skies and stars were some of the clearest I've ever witnessed. It was phenomenal. The two main restaurants in the town that we went to (Davor and Konoba Zavala) were beyond delicious. Fish so fresh and traditional sauces and flavors to die for. Some of the best olive oil you can get your hands on, no joke. This place and the town are a mini paradise and we wish we never had to leave. Thank you Zeljko!!!

Approach the employees (family members) have towards their guests blew us away. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere made us want to rebook our stay immediately for the next year. Their commitment to providing exquisite dinner and dining experience is unprecedented and is something many other should look up to. Form the owner and his familly we've learned of the local history and turn of events that lead the island to what it is today. Also we have noticed the staff is multilingual and was able to approach their guest individually and take care of their needs. Finally it seemed that most of the guests are returning guests, which is definelty a positive sign that not just we (new guests) had the pelasure to experience the warmth and profesional approach but everyone else did as well.

House Zaca is located in the center of Zavala, right next to a pebbly beach. All rooms are fitted with a balcony that overlooks the sea, while free Wi-Fi and free parking are also provided.

Yes, I strongly recommend for relaxing. It is very calm place directly to the water. Good for swimming. Close to the House is a good typical restaurant from the same family with very good food. No luxury but very comfortable and super clean. The staff are friendly and helpful..
