We stayed at 5 different hotels in Croatia, and Miramare was the best stay among them. The hotel is small, but everything was great. It's within a 5-minute walk to the bus station; It's located in walking distances to the major attractions; it's clean and tidy; the breakfast was exceptional; the staff and owner are friendly and welcoming.

I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel View on Brač Island Postira, and it was an unforgettable experience. The name truly says it all—the views from this hotel are nothing short of spectacular. Whether you're enjoying the sunrise over the Adriatic Sea or watching the sunset from your balcony, the scenery is breathtaking. Everything about my stay was excellent. The rooms were modern, spacious, and immaculately clean, providing a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially the smiling gril at the restaurant, always ready to assist .The amenities, from the beautiful pool to the well-equipped fitness center, exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a place to unwind with stunning views and exceptional service, Grand Hotel View is the perfect choice. I can't wait to return!

Absolutely perfect staff !! receptionists I talked to ... , staff in the restaurant ... , cleaning service ... every single person I met was friendly and helpful. This is not always a standard also in other 4* hotels, especially during high season and fully booked hotel. What else ? we missed the dinner first evening (as we arrived too late), the dinner was waiting for us prepared in our room ! without asking/ordering in advance. Absolutely quiet location in the night, after 22:30 you can hear waves from the sea also in rooms oriented to the pool. No noise from other guests, no shouting & laughing from the bar ... The hotel was full of families with children (including mine) and the night was really quiet every time - I was surprised - we could sleep with window open although our room was oriented to the pool. Hotel was fully booked but there were no queues in restaurant, neither morning nor lunch or dinner, as mentioned already, the staff did a great job. Food was very good and tasty, with so many choices of cold and warm kitchen, fresh fruits and vegetables. Nothing was missing even if we came 15 minutes before closing ! We also very much enjoyed Croatian water melons, they were just great. Big plus is also an option to eat on big and spacious terrace (if it's not too hot), close to promenade. Room was pretty small and simple furnished, but clean and practical. However the stay in this hotel was not about the room, but rather about the service and the food and the sea of course ...

The beach is amazing in Tucepi, but at this time of the year (early June) the sea is still a bit chilly (not that it stopped us from swimming though). It is literally placed in front of the hotel. We loved the pool and kids activities. The animators were really doing their best to make the trip memorable for our daughter, so we could all enjoy it. There was a quiz and lovely live music in the evenings. The food was very delicious and there was plenty of choice for everyone. All the workers were very kind and lovely, from receptionists to hygienists.

The Camp itself was super. We're probably coming back. P.S. The noise of nearby clubs can be a bit loud if you're an early going sleeper ... but I don't blame Camp for it! You get used to it and try to enjoy your vacation as much as possible, and there is definitely a thing for everyone to enjoy in Soline Camp. 😎

Split is visually stunning and packed with ancient history.

Split is visually stunning and packed with ancient history. Exploring the maze-like alleys of the old town and taking a day trip to the impressive Klis Fortress were major highlights. However, if you visit during the peak summer months, prepare for heavy crowds and premium pricing on food and tours.

The place is a hidden gem, medieval fortress that is so well preserved until today! The Adriatic Sea makes everything even more magical, since the water is so clean with many blues. I would advise doing the kaiak tour and going to the islands, but first please take a good historic walk in the city! Even without a guide you can search online for the main buildings and be mesmerized with the age and history behind it all. Go without a car or be prepared to pay a lot for parking, since the preservation of the city is the most improtant thing - and if you're staying close to the city ask for the permit to park in the resident area. Food is also a plus! I am vegan and had a lot of options, tasty things, but also my friends ate very well in the same restaurants.

Although Trogir is one of the gems of the Adriatic with its historical buildings, charming streets, and the hospitality of the locals (at least the service providers), the traffic is disastrous. Vehicles (cars, motorbikes, scooters) and sometimes even pedestrians navigate the roads in a life-threatening manner. Speed limits are treated merely as suggestions, priority at intersections belongs to whoever is faster or more alert, and they use the horn instead of everything (including turn signals). If you have the chance, use public transport to get there. The coastline and the town offer a picturesque view, but the water at the otherwise neat and well-maintained beaches is dirty, and there are jellyfish (I got stung 4 times in 6 days). North of the 45th parallel, the quality of the seawater is much better.

We know the town well by now.

We know the town well by now. The town itself is fine—a typical holiday destination. If you like bustling promenades, you’ll find them here; if you prefer more secluded, scenic walking paths, you’ll find those too. There are plenty of restaurants and street food spots, as well as various chain stores, smaller bakeries, greengrocers, and the like. Prices at the chain stores are only slightly higher than in Hungary, so it’s reasonable. However, there are many discounted items, so you can save money if you want to. We mostly explore the surrounding area these days. We visited Biokovo this year, and it was stunning. The secluded local beaches are the best—those are the ones we usually seek out. One thing to watch out for, though, is parking: if you try to park in a non-designated spot, you’ll likely get fined!

Hvar is town can be very crowded, particularly at night, but we enjoyed the action. We enjoyed sitting out in the harbor and people watching with a cold drink. There are lots of restaurants, galleries and shops to wander through. You can book day trips all along the waterfront. There's a walkway that runs a couple miles along the water so great for morning walks. We stayed 4 nights in the beginning of our trip and it was perfect.

We felt the prices in the area and especially in supermarkets were surprisingly, I'd say even prohibitively expensive for what it is in reality: a yet to be developed housing and infrastructure zone. Split and Trogir were definitely very interesting sites nearby to explore, but we had the collective feeling, after the holiday: this was nice and relaxing, but not worth coming again. Europe has many regions to offer where the price-performance ratio is much better (we don't mind paying a bit more on holiday, but we want to have the feeling of getting our money's worth). Pebble beaches are ok.
