We stayed at 5 different hotels in Croatia, and Miramare was the best stay among them. The hotel is small, but everything was great. It's within a 5-minute walk to the bus station; It's located in walking distances to the major attractions; it's clean and tidy; the breakfast was exceptional; the staff and owner are friendly and welcoming.

Well, this hotel is worth the money for sure - even if it is an expensive hotel indeed. The facilities available for kids are just perfect. Pools, playrooms, outside areas everything is nice. The food is amazing, there is everything you can think of. Rooms (even Falky rooms, which means kind of standard room) are comfortable with a seating area and separated small bedroom for kids (just bare in mind, the beds in this bedroom are small, therefore not really suitable for teenagers, only for kids up to 10 years I guess) and a great huge bed in the main room (I guess it's 200x220 cm).

I loved the Sea Organ and hte old town. Nice for shopping but you need to be very selective! Loved the free tour with Lidjia. It's really easy to get the gist of the bus routes, but be careful, cuz they are always super late.

Zadar is a beautiful city with a rich history and plenty of charming streets to explore. One of its biggest advantages is that it isn't overcrowded with tourists. Of course, there are visitors, but it's still easy to walk around and enjoy the city without feeling overwhelmed. There are many excellent places to eat and drink, including ice cream shops, cafés, restaurants, and bars. I recommend checking Google Maps reviews to find the best ones. Just a short walk from the city centre, you'll find a pier and a pebble beach. Water shoes are definitely recommended for the beach. Everything is close by, making Zadar a perfect destination for a relaxing city break. I would definitely recommend visiting.

Staying near bus station was a plus as needed to travel quickly. Mcdonalds, food shops and attractive beach bars were within reach. Very pretty beach with perfumed pine trees and everything u would need. Will be returning next week to stay in the old town And will give that a review too.

Zadar was our favorite part of Croatia.

Zadar was our favorite part of Croatia. Between the beautiful streets and the sea its a perfect get away. Lots of great restaurants in Zadar although you will need to do some searching if you are looking to get away from tourist traps. Getting around is easy with Uber although Uber works very different from US. It sometimes takes the Uber driver an extra 15-30 mins to get to you so make sure you keep enough cusion. The day trip to Plitvice National Park by bus from Zadar works great!

We visited Split as well but to be honest we think Zadar is much prettier and would have gone to various islands but did not have enough days. We went to two restaurants in Zadar, but honestly you have lots to choose from. A lot of ice creams shops which is well needed in the hot weather. The old town is easy to walk around with no stairs for older people to manage. Our best place to go at night was the Sea Organ.

Zadar is very safe, absolutely beautiful and full of history. There are lots of restaurants and bars and independent shops. A taxi from the airport is Euro 35 but we did the return trip on the bus for Euro 5 each, it was really easy and next time we come we will use the bus to and from the airport. We also used the passenger ferry twice to visit an island about 20 minutes off the coast, this was just Euro 5 return trip. Zadar is pretty much all pedestrianised in the Old Town, which is wonderful. The Roman Forum is just there in the centre of the city for you to walk around at any time completely free of charge. Along the quayside lots of people, friends and families come out to watch the beautiful sunsets, there is a small market that is open into the evening and vendors selling corn on the cob which is delicious. A perfect city break.

I had a very nice stay at this apart-style hotel. Room was spacious and had everything I needed for my short stay. Breakfast was served in a local cafe and had a reasonable menu. Key collection was pretty simple even late at night. Property is very central, but quiet at night - seems to be a Croatian rule anyway. The property is less than a 10 minute walk from the airport bus. Overall an excellent base for your Zadar stay.
