I stayed here for 2 nights to relax after some adventures in Java and was really pleased with my choice to stay here.

You do need to appreciate this area is a long way from...
You do need to appreciate this area is a long way from Denpasar and has limited facilities, particularly medical. It is GREAT if you are into diving / snorkelling or birdwatching / photography. Also, my wife likes horse riding and we found some excellent stables near Permuteran for that. I enjoy using a scooter to explore nature and the salt pans were very interesting for birds.
Eating out - there are some Warungs but we stayed in the resort.
Whilst you can hire a scooter, your only other option is taxi and the resort can help you there.

I like Banyuwedang because it is near the beach (can go to the beach anytime) and has natural hot springs (in the Mimpi Menjangan Resort and public ones), while located within or at the edge of the West Bali National Park, so there are so many big trees (green everywhere), one can still hear the sounds of birds (especially in the morning), almost no polution (except near the roads). This time I came 2 - 5 April. The weather was just nice. Cool and breezy in the morning, hot in the afternoon, not much rain. Previous 2 times I came it was in December, there was too much rain. Not enough sun to get a nice tan on the face.

Nice relaxed rural/coastal Bali, great place to just wind it back and take time to slow down. Snorkeling, temple tours both great, hot springs are truely hot and well worth the visit (anytime of day or night), but I’ll mostly remember the friendly approachable people in the neighbourhood. Lovely people (great food)

The accommodation car to take us from a hotel room to a restaurant comes quickly when we need it, but the car seat is hard for elderly.

The trip from Denpasar is long and arduous but worth it, The setting in the National reserve is beautiful,
The rooms are quite excellent. The staff are absolutely lovely.
The deer roaming the property were darling and even the curious monkeys were cool.
Overall and excellent stay.

Amazing views .... breathtaking!!!!
Tucked away in a little Balinese village... it is a few km from local restaurants and conveniences shops so having access to a bike is useful for exploring the area (which can be arranged by hotel staff on arrival).
The wonderful, kind and helpful staff also able to arrange tours, prepare meals, transportation and facilitate any needs directly from the accomodation.
I personally did the snorkle and diving trip and highly recommend both!

Yuda was an exceptional host, booking us jungle trekking and a snorkeling tour and making our stay very comfortable. The homestay is lovely and great value with great breakfast each morning. We were also lucky to be upgraded to the hut at the back of the property. We were picked up each day for our activities and Yuda even rented us a scooter to see other sights and temples. If you want a low-key but lovely place to base yourself to enjoy Bali Barat National Park, then book here!

A nice hotel in a quiet part of Bali; very different from Ubud and the beaches in the south. The hotel has an absolutely magnificent swimming pool; large, with great views of the sea and mountains. We went on a lovely snorkeling trip. The hotel room, bed and outdoor shower were comfortable. We saw many monkeys close to the hotel.
