The villa was great, the views can't be explained in pictures alone. It's private and away from other busy tourist areas. One thing to note is the grounds are unstaffed from 10pm-7am, this was not an issue for us, but might be for some. The water outside the villa is definitely not for beginner swimmers, but if you're comfortable swimming in it, it offers some amazing snorkeling views. There is also alot of wildlife- geckos, monkeys, beach dogs.

The island has an amazing views, nature is breathtaking, from the cliffs, to the crystal clear water, to the monkey that were chill most of the time. The only downsides are the roads and the access to the beaches which are now kind of a trademark for this island.

It was wonderfully quiet where we stayed but with just enough restaurant options. A great change from southern Bali, more like the area around Amed in the north but better restaurants and snorkelling. Apart from Diamond beach which was full of influencer day trippers (though still impressive and worth the terrible roads to get there) it was delightfully peaceful.

Great exotic beaches that physically challenge the visitors...

Great exotic beaches that physically challenge the visitors before enjoying it. And that is what make the visit really worth while. Yes, you can enjoy Kelingking Beach, Angel Billabong, Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach from the hills, but nothing compare to the experience of climbing down the hundreds of tall steps of stairs on the vertical cliffs, and the feeling when you realize "the only way home is CLIMBING UP"

Relatively a big island with some scenic beaches. Travelling specially on the west side is not easy due to broken roads and steep turns and twists. Diamond beach was spectacular. All in all a place not to be missed when you are in Bali.

I wasn’t expecting so many tourists.

I wasn’t expecting so many tourists. The main attractions get very busy witb tourists and taxis. It’s a really beautiful place but honestly I wouldn’t recommend because of how busy the attractions are and the beaches arnt safe to swim. It’s a big island so travelling around takes a lot of time too.

Leonk and his family were fabulous hosts. The small hotel with its individual Bungalows is extremely comfortable, private and the gardens are beautiful. Beds are super comfortable. The family provided free pick-up and drop off at the harbour as well as to restaurants in the area. Leonk also arranged scooter driver for sightseeing the island at a reasonable charge. I highly recommend staying at Sawit Garden Cottages on your next visit to Nusa Penida.

Perfect place to stay in Nusa Penida, within walking distance to Crystal Bay. The team is amazing, always ready to help you with a smile, the bungalows are very nicely decorated and you have everything you need in terms of facilities. The sunset view from the pool is absolutely stunning! We rented scooters from Meket to see the rest of the island. You have 2 very nice restaurants just next to Meket. I would go back without no doubt.

Location / good to reach the famous spots around the island. Clean and big room, comfortable bed. Good breakfast and amazing view with a infinity swimming pool. The most friendly staff named Putu! :))) Very kind & helpful! Will be staying again at Beten Juwet at our next time visiting Nusa Penida again! (P.S: You need a motorbike to go around - the cheapest & the most quick way! - watch the roads!)
