It is not a room; it is a villa. There are two terasses with great views. Big well kept garden and huge living room and kitchen. The breakfast was exceptional, huge and incredibly varied. The caretakers where extremely polite that did everthing to make us feel at home. The wifi was great. You can walk from the house straight to the vulcano. And most importantly: no car noise. Bath. Perfect for families. Bedrooms a bit more basic, but with very good beds. They can arrange dinner, but Grab is also possible. A bit out of town; but Gojek can take you everywhere and again: no car noise :). We rented a scooter for touring the beautiful countryside. Lots to see and do (Kali waterfall is amazingly beautifull for instance or the alternative Mahawu vulcano).

Wawowow is a very special place. But it’s not for everyone. If you want to be away from city sounds and pollution, way out in the peace of the countryside among farms and mountain views — and if you are a person who enjoys the ruggedness of tent or A-frame cabin camping, then you will love Wawowow. Alvin has built this off-the-grid retreat himself, adding to it each year. He and his staff are caring and helpful. The well laid out grounds are covered in lawns and most if not all tents and cabins have small brick firepits. Alvin can provide the firewood for them. When I was there a number of people sat around these campfires at night singing and playing guitars. No sound amplification is allowed. Some people chose to stay on the grounds for several days. I used it as a jumping off place each morning to tour different parts of the Tomohon area each day., returning each evening.

Quite quiet, though conveniently placed just off the main road. Pretty place with many nice plants, fish, ducks, a dog, cats, and birds. Wifi worked well. Easy to rent a scooter from Riko. He also gives advice on what to see around Tomohon. I like that he hires local students as well to give them employment.

Stunning gardens, incredibly spacious apartment! We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa which has a large bedroom, lounge, full kitchen, dining area. Really fabulous. The menu in the Marion Cafe is great and dinner was delicious both nights. Great coffee and juices too. Staff very friendly and professional. Just a short walk or grab car to the traditional markets. Air nice and fresh. No AC but definitely not needed in the coolness of Tomohon. A beautiful, relaxing break from long days of travel. Would happily stay again.

It was one of the best breakfast we've had, a lot of options on local food and the Christmas cookies was the best! Hotel staffs from check in, room boy, restaurant were helpful and always smile. Room, bathroom and toilet are clean. Water runs fine for wash dishes and shower. Free drink water is so good. Plenty of parking spots and hotel is accessible from the city central.

Our stay at Rimba was very nice. We only had 2 days to see Tomohon and the host, Arno, facilitated our stay immensely. He got us in touch with local guides and a driver to visit all the highlights in 2 days. Food was great and the vibe very relaxed and laid back.

An outstanding place! Very nice, clean and comfortable cottages. A very beautyful garden in the countryside of Tomohon with view to the vulcano Lokon. The manager Jan is extremly kind and helpful! Very delicious food!! Easy reachable by Grab service.

A great spot to explore Tomohon’s volcanos, markets and vibrant cafes. The Great Trek guided walk was a real highlight, highly recommend if you enjoy hiking and want to learn more about the local culture.
