It was a delight to stay at Cul Draiochta. The welcome from Ian was warm and informative and the impromptu coffee & cake was a treat after a wet day riding on the motorbike! The quality of accommodation was exceptional with all creature comforts to hand. The bedroom and en-suite were a great size and very comfortable. The breakfast was also of the highest quality (my wife particularly liked the fresh fruit salad!) Ian and his wife were the very best hosts and we will definitely be returning. Great location for the Ring of Kerry & Skelligs etc.

We had a comparison with a very similar glamping pod we booked in a different location. Compared to the other one, "South Kerry Glamping" had a much smarter layout. We really liked the wooden deck in front of the pod.

Booked a private room. Had a little chalet with central heating in the garden. Tea, coffee, kettle. TV. Super clean and warm. Good mattress and pillows. Beautifully cooked fried breakfast and a pot of coffee. Expectations well exceeded. Great value for money. Mike is attentive, available but gives you your privacy. I would stay again.

FAQs about hotels in Cahersiveen

What Guests Said About Cahersiveen:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 6.0

Cahersiveen is a small town in County Kerry.

Cahersiveen is a small town in County Kerry. It's ideally located for exploring the lakes of Killarney, and County Kerry in general. Also West Cork and it's beauty isn't too far away either. There isn't a lot going on in the town itself, a few pubs some of which have traditional Irish music nights. Couple of classy gift shops but a lot of things to see in the vicinity. Valentia Island is a must as is Dingle and Kenmare. The town is mainly one long street, very long street, but the locals are friendly and helpful.

Incredibly friendly shopkeepers and locals, stunning sights including the ring fort, the Old Barracks, Daniel O'Connell's Memorial Church, and a lovely day outing in nearby Waterville. A bit hard to get around without a car, and taxis were hard to come by. Buses were good, but limited in scheduling. Lots of other things to do if you have your own car. Multiple transfers required to get further afield, like Limerick and Galway. A gem for a 2-3 day stay.

Hotel attached to a bar.

Hotel attached to a bar. Perfectly comfortable and welcoming. Food was nice and generous. Sadly missed the live music because of early start the following morning. Nice big car park. Overall a very good stay and convenient for Dingle peninsula.

A lovely town in a great location for visiting the Ring of Kerry. Plenty of nice walks, climbs, beaches and fantastic scenery. Kells beach and Kells Bay and Gardens are close by as is the lovely pilgrim walk up Cnoc na dTobar. A good base to visit Valentia Island. Plenty of historical interest including the old Workhouse and Daniel O Connell's birthplace. Some nice restaurants, including the lovely Oratory Pizza restaurant and QCs.
