The place is very comfortable and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The room was spotless and well-equipped with everything I needed. Anna Maria, the host, is incredibly kind and welcoming. There were also some breakfast items available in the kitchen, which was a nice touch. It truly felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend it!

Barga is quiet, not heaving with tourists, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful.it’s a lovely hill top town. We did a couple of their recommended walks…not easy walking. Tourist info office not open Monday through Wednesday, try the travel agency accross the road from The Alpino. Take the bus to Barga from Lucca, as Barga is on a hill and the station is in the valley, a few kilometres away, can’t guarantee taxi either.

The most favourite place that I have visited in all the...

The most favourite place that I have visited in all the world and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Tuscanyt. Barga Veccia ,has a stunning Cathedral, an Opera house, many fabulous restuarants and throughout the town there are many art galleries and individual shops to explore. There is also a swimming pool open during the summer months. Do not miss going to Casa de Vino for wine tasting and picnic. It is also easy to travel from there to Lucca, Viaregio Castelnouvo and you can even visit Florence from here for the day. Bite the bullet and go there you will not regret it, enjoy.

The town was beautiful and nature is wonderful. We would love to come back. We came on a Monday and several restaurants were closed because it was in the beginning of October. It will be nice to be in the town, when all places are open.

Barga is a beautiful town on a hill.

Barga is a beautiful town on a hill. A great place to explore the mountains above Pisa. There was a festival on when we arrived so the town was busy but full of live with live music and great food and drink.

Get away from the madding crowd head to Barga true Italy its so pleasant in the old town has a good selection of bars and restaurants .On the edge of town is a fantastic public pool great for adults and kids ,further down the road is tennis courts and the surrounding countryside is stunning

Barga is a beautiful old town with some stunning scenery.

Barga is a beautiful old town with some stunning scenery. There are plenty of bars and restaurants and a market once a week - recommended. If travelling by train, allow plenty of extra time in case of line changes - the cost of train travel is low but remember to validate your ticket on the station platform before boarding. Barga is a fabulous Tuscan location.

The location and views from the hotel are absolutely stunning. The beds are comfortable, bathroom is modern/clean and breakfast is good. The staff at reception speak great English and are very friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking also and pretty easy to get to, although be aware that you will definitely need a car, unless you like walking up mountains!

A little house completely renovated , the cleanest place I found in a long time. Handy to Barga at a very reasonable price price. Owners are great, accomodating, genuine. Nice garden around the house. Hips of parking area behind the entrance.

The hotel location to the town of Barga. The pool is excellent The room was air conditioned, handy when the temperature during our stay was mid thirties. Lovely choice of breakfast food. Staff are brilliant. Beautiful building.
