We loved meeting the owner who is so kind and captures perfect Sicilian hospitality. He made us feel right at home in his beautifully renovated cottage with a gorgeous dining area. The breakfast was a real treat with the chance to try so many beautiful sweets and drink delicious coffee. We are super grateful to have stayed here as a wonderful base to visit Argigento. The nearby town was lively with markets and restaurants.

The hotel manager, Marilisa, was wonderful and accommodating. She gave us restaurant suggestions. It was super clean and modern. The free breakfast was fresh and sufficient and was kept in the room and the fridge. Very close to the centre of town. We walked every day to the centre for dinner. We loved eating at Spizzico. There is no reception desk, so you have to self check in. Make sure to be in contact with her before arriving so she can give you the code to open the door.

Well located in the ‘middle’ of the island. Our objective was to see the Valley of the Temples and also to go to Syracuse. This made a great base. Definitely need a car though. Canicatti is just a little working town but very genuine and had a good supermarket for essentials. We tended to lunch out during our long days out and then have a meal back home later which was easily achieved with Francisco’s lovely little kitchenette. Spotlessly clean and comfortable.

Safe enclosed parking right in the city centre. Amazing for Sicilian towns. Very well organised and super clean bed and breakfast. Nice room that opened right onto a quiet and well kept garden. Lovely hot water shower and tasty breakfast. No issues with the WiFi. Places to eat/drink within 10 mins walking. Bar Italia really nice with friendly helpful staff. Canicatti is a nice town; worth looking around.

Corte dei Monaci is a short distance outside of Canicatti, quiet and peaceful. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast each morning is a treat, served by Vincenzo, the owner. The establishment is clearly renowned by local people for its restaurant, for at around 8pm every evening (except Mondays) it comes alive with diners. We ate there every night of our 9 day stay and were never disappointed.

Thanks to Vincenzo and the staff that they had prepared food for us since we had a long distance to travel and the staff were nice . The communication with us was good all along the way until we have arrived at the hotel.
