United KingdomI don’t know where to start…from the off, we were greeted at the car and shown around the Masseria. It is absolutely stunning and tastefully restored. It is even better than what the photos suggest, so you’re in for a lovely treat. The room was so spacious, our own jacuzzi bath and private patio. When we wanted to venture to the communal areas we were welcomed with snacks to accompany our wine. It was a dream stay and we can’t wait to go back.

We loved it, lots of beautiful beaches near us.
We loved it, lots of beautiful beaches near us. Locals were friendly, food was amazing, out of this world, everything we needed was in walking distance. Having a car is a must as not much public transport or taxi’s. It was a perfect base to explore Puglia region, beautiful. It’s still untouched by commercialism so a true gem to see and enjoy the genuine Italian culture. We can’t wait to go back

Caslabate is really a summer destination.
Caslabate is really a summer destination. Once winter comes, the town pretty much shuts down, and it can feel deserted. It's a great location for exploring the nearby cities like Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli which are all a must

A very friendly and charming village by the seaside.
A very friendly and charming village by the seaside. You have everything you need: a wonderful beach, places to enjoy morning coffee by the sea, and grocery stores. We are a family with a 5-year-old girl, and the area is extremely safe and welcoming. The people here are very kind, always smiling and greeting us with warmth.

There are cute little rocky beaches, a few restaurants, and basic facilities like supermarkets. Nothing too fancy but the hospitality of the Casalabate people will warm your heart.
Tip: visit the old lady who owns the white/blue fruit/veg stand!

There is absolutely nothing to do in the whole local area.
There is absolutely nothing to do in the whole local area. Shops and bars (apart from the ubiquitous Salvatore's, a small, simple restaurant with bar and general shop ) are totally non existent. The local area is like a ghost town, a total wilderness. Nightlife (or day life) non existent. Where is anybody/anything ? Fortunately Lecce is only 20 minutes away by car.

The apartment was very convenient, clean and well equipped.
The owner was very kind at the time of arrival, and she also recommended good local restaurant, store, beach etc.
There is a beautiful view from the apartment to the sea, just like on the pictures.
There are several famous Puglian locations (Gallipoli, Otranto, Lecce etc.) from 1 hour drive from Casalabate, so its a great location to stay of you want to discover this area.

The hotel had a lovely pool and bar, good food at the restaurant at night. Beach access across the road with nice clear water. We visited just after the summer rush so there was no issues getting sunbeds. Staff were generally helpful across a variety of interactions at reception/bar/cleaners. Our room had sea views and a nice terrace.

In principle, the location is good, although the descent to the sea from the hotel is not very comfortable. Also the dinners were tasty and there were various food to choose. The hotel's great advantage is the staff.
