this hotel is a hidden gem in the tuscan countryside. The kocation is queit and scenic, the rooms are comfortable and very clean, and the breakfast was delicious. we really enjoyed the indor pool and the relaxing atmosphere throughout the proprety. Had the best time with Ariana and Maurizio! Its a bit of different kind of stay than people might be used to since its not a classic hotel but it was our favorite place the whole trip through Tuscany. The location is unreal and the view from the bedroom is fantastic. In the summer there are a million butterflies flying over the Lavender they have in the garden. I loved the room and the bathroom is great as well. Ariana and Maurizio are the best hosts possible (Maurizio makes amazing scrambled eggs) and Ariana has great recommendations for things to see, eat and do in the area. Highly recommended :)

The apartment was VERY clean and inviting. The kitchen-living area is so charming with a lovely fireplace in the middle of the room. The upstairs bedrooms have a room with 2 singles and a room with a queen. The apartment is on a VERY quiet, charming, little street.... We really enjoyed our stay and we enjoyed Casole d'Elsa.

The apartment is new and beautifully renovated and decorated. I work in the fields of fashion and design and was impressed by the excellent taste and quality with which the apartment was decorated and everything was comfortable. Great views, great kitchen and ideal for a multi day family stay where you may want to prepare meals in the apartment. 3-4 bedrooms and 2 full baths + 1 additional toilet room which was very convenient as it was in the loft which can be an additional room.

Ripostena is a magical place. Martina was extremely kind and helpful in sending ideas for visiting local farms, restaurants, and vineyards. The apartment was very clean and beautiful. The entire property overlooks the Tuscan countryside; the sunsets are spectacular. There is a beautiful pool in warmer months. This is a fantastic choice for a quiet, peaceful place to explore all that Tuscany has to offer.

What we loved most was the authentic Tuscan atmosphere, the fantastic breakfast, the peaceful surroundings and Francesco’s warm hospitality. The location is also ideal for exploring many of Tuscany’s beautiful villages. On the downside, the 1.3 km dirt road leading to the property is in poor condition – something to be aware of, especially if arriving at night or with a low car. The strict check-in time (only until 7pm) can be challenging for those travelling from afar. The room didn’t quite match the photos, and the bathroom was missing even basic toiletries like hand soap – something we found surprising and inconvenient. Tips for future visitors: Bring your own toiletries, especially if arriving by plane. Plan to arrive well before 7pm. Be prepared for a bumpy road – drive slowly and carefully. If you're an early riser, plan breakfast accordingly or bring a snack. Despite these small issues, the beauty of the place and the welcoming host made our stay special.

Fantastic facility and location to tour Tuscany. Very comfortable beds and two bedroom apartment. Fantastic on site host, Neila, who is available to provide any assistance/information you may need. Bathrooms, although old, were fully functional with good showers- no issues whatsoever! Great restaurant on site and up in the small town 5 minutes walk.

If you are exploring by car this is the ideal spot as all...

If you are exploring by car this is the ideal spot as all the places that you will want to visit are close by; 25 minutes San Gimignano, Siena 30 minutes & Montepulciano 1hr 20 minutes. The town itself is within walking distance (15 mins) and has restaurants bars coffee shops supermarket etc. The pool is fantastic and the views amazing. Outside space to enjoy the sun and have some food & a glass of wine. Parking is at your gate and is safe and secure and easily accessible for any size of car. The apartment is well equipped with all you need to cook, including fresh herbs and veg from the garden. Finally you will be looked after by a genuinely lovely family who ensure that you have everything you need and are excellent guides to the area and where to visit if you need it.

We didn't visit Casole d'Elsa itself - we wanted to, but...

We didn't visit Casole d'Elsa itself - we wanted to, but didn't have the time in the end. We did visit Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, and Colle di Val d'Elsa, which were all within very easy reach from the agriturismo (at the most, a 45 minute drive, which was for Siena ; all the other places were closer by). All 4 of these places we had visited in the past, and we loved them now just as much as we did back then.

Beautiful quiet location with the best views. We visited for our honeymoon straight after our wedding and the staff went out of their way to make us feel special. The breakfast was varied and typically Italian. We ate dinner there twice and it was delicious. Everyone was super friendly and helpful - would definitely go back. People have commented it is a bit shabby around the edges but honestly, this is reflected in the modest price. If you want luxury, pay for it. This hotel absolutely fit the bill for what it needed to.

Breakfast very good, and the staff went out of their way to help.All very friendly and efficient. The location is about 3 km from the nearest town, and I didn't mind walking there as it was a lovely walk.Buses were only 3 times a day, 2 early morning and one late Afternoon at 3.40 ten minutes walk from the hotel to the nearest bus stop into Colle val d elsa which was the bigger town where buses go.to other towns such as Sienna and San Gimignano which are beautiful.

Castello di Casole is a destination hotel - car, taxi or helicopter are the only ways to it. This is part of what makes it great, set in the Tuscan hillside with beautiful landscapes all sides the hotel affords the just under 40 rooms guest a tranquil relaxing place to stay. Service is exceptional, the food is even better. Castello di Casole is not the cheapest hotel by any means but you get what you pay for.

What's not to like? Beautiful hotel, fabulous facilities, friendly staff, great food.... one of the loveliest hotels in the world. I particularly loved the beautiful infinity pool. Great spa and gym too. Just go!
