Aurora Serao was outstanding. So friendly, so helpful, she made our trip to Gallipoli a fabulous experience. We can’t say enough good things about her. We are planning a return trip this summer, just because she is there making everything perfect for guests. The property is absolutely spotless. The clean, sleek design of the rooms and the lobby also are soothing to the soul. Nothing too colorful, nothing too busy… We loved the beds, the linens, the bathroom … everything was near perfection. Can’t wait to return.

Well me and my wife, we liked everything about the Xilhotel in Gallipoli. The room was perfectly clean and well maintained. It was kept clean daily. Its aesthetics and comfort were beyond our expectation. It had a smart use of its space giving you the chance to organize your clothes and things, to avoid clutter. The bed was very comfortable. We could sleep very well. The toilet was very spacious. The room had a nice looking balcony with sea view where you could hang out and enjoy the peacefulness of the sea. The breakfast was another highlight of our experience there. It was a lot to choose from and the food was delicious, especially the pastry. We also had quality espresso and cappuccino during our breakfasts. The location was perfect. 2 minutes walk from the train station, 5 min walk from the bridge that leads you to the old town/island, 1 min walk from the main boulevard. The area was very peaceful so there was no noise coming from outside. And last but not least we are very thankful to the staff of the hotel (the ladies at the reception, the cleaning lady and the lady at the breakfast service). They were very professional and friendly. This hotel just made our holidays in Gallipoli, the best we have had so far.

The Crown Palace is a gorgeous renovated hotel in an ancient building and it is stunning! The comfortable rooms are very large and the decor features tasteful antiques. The location is excellent. There are good quality linens and toiletries. Our bathroom was very large as was the excellent shower. The breakfast includes fruit, juices, eggs to your taste, cheeses, meat and sweets, etc.. There is a very large rooftop terrace with many tables and chairs and umbrellas. It is beautiful! Mathia, our exceptional host holds wine tastings on the terrace, weather permitting. He is a sommelier and gives good explanations. Mathia and the rest of the staff were very caring and helpful. We felt so pampered. We loved it there and stayed 6 days! Recommended.

Full service hotel. Rooms were very clean. WiFi worked well. Excellent common spaces with small pool and terraces for sun bathing. Amazing breakfast. Staff were extremely helpful. Located in historic center with limited traffic so taxis cannot go there. They have a golf cart with lovely driver to meet you and move luggage.

Southern Puglia is quite rustic ... more so in a 37-degree heatwave. You travel quite long distances between Gallipoli, and the towns and sights on the Southern and Eastern coasts of the peninsula. The greater charm seems to be in the north.

Gallipoli Old Town is a beautiful place to visit, especially if you enjoy historic places, sea views, good food and a relaxed atmosphere. The historic centre is easy to explore on foot, with lots of small streets, nice restaurants and lovely spots for sunset. I would definitely recommend staying at Palazzo Presta and having dinner at Lazzaro & Caterina. The nearby Spiaggia della Purità is also a great public beach - clean, atmospheric and with those classic Italian summer views.

our stay location definitely made our trip to Gallipoli better, we did like the beach but Ottranto by far had the best beach. night time at the main square was beautiful to spend time at and having our best meal at a Braceria restaurant name MORE was an amazing experience and delicious. our kids loved going to Praja club

In winter, many restaurants and services are closed, so that can be a bit of a problem if looking for choices. However, it is a beautiful city and anything can be found if needed. I will return in the summer.

Finding the accommodation was testing/ But beside that, everythinh was an unforgetable adventure. It was a moonlit evening when we walked around the waterfront completely taken in by atmosphere of the the medieval buildings. This stay was the best of our one week tour around the east & west coast of Italy & will not be forgotten.

Gallipoli was fun to explore.

Gallipoli was fun to explore. While we were there it was quite windy, and we experienced sunset during our supper (highly recommended!). It is also within easy driving distance of other interesting places, esp. Santa Maria di Leuca, Nardo, Spiaggia Pescoluse.

Amazing staff that couldn't do enough for us. They made excellent recommendations (e.g. boat trips and beaches) that were very good value for money. The location is perfect to explore the whole area and having parking is really useful when Gallipoli is busy in the summer. The hotel itself is modern, beautifully designed and the breakfasts were delicious too.

Property is in a great location just a 15 minute walk from the old town with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were so accommodating and got back to any questions very quick via WhatsApp. Rooftop was lovely and we enjoyed breakfast here in the mornings. Very modern & clean hotel and was exactly what we needed for a short trip in Gallipoli

Palazza Salapolis is such an amazing place to stay. We had a beautifully decorated, two floor apartment, in the middle of the old town. The owner Scott is one of the best hosts who we met on our Puglia trip. We will be back hopefully to beautiful Gallipoli and Palazza Salapolis is the only place to stay for us!
