Our brief one night stay at Hotel Parnasso was exceptional. We had a late check-in, but the hotel provided information how to achieve it. There was free street parking in front of the hotel and around the whole area (very convenient for those travelling with their car). The breakfast was amazing (for italian standarts keep in mind, whose prima colazione is usually a cappuccino with sth sweet). There were even boiled eggs, flax seeds, quinoa, prunes, yoghurt,cheese, ham, bread and sweet options as well. Staff amazingly kind and helpful and their coffee delicious. Extra bonus, there was a fridge in the room with 2 complimentary bottles of water and a couple of Biscof biscuits. We would stay there again definitely!

Hotel Ristorante Stellato is a charming hotel located a short walk from the train station and just across the beach. It is not far from all the nearby amenities such as beaches, restaurants, the Via Magna Grecia where everyone strolls in the evening. The staff was great and helped with directions to places. Room was nice with a beachfront view, bed was comfortable, nice bathroom and everything was clean and spotless. Room was air conditioned.

The host, Salvatore, was exceptional! Very responsive to special requests, very kind and accommodating. I unfortunately only speak English, but Salvatore - and everyone else I met in the village - was very gracious and willing to communicate with google translate assistance. The village of San Lorenzo Bellizzi is stunningly picturesque nestled in the mountains and very quaint. I arrived on a Monday night and found the restaurants closed because it was Monday. Salvatore contacted a local grocer/baker to come open her shop so we could get some amazing food and drink, and incredible home baked bread, to bring back to the airbnb, and we feasted. We even got some delicious, local homemade wine! The shop owner, Carmela, was equally gracious and accommodating. Salvatore remained available during our entire stay and guided us with any questions we had. He was very helpful and even introduced us to locals with a common background that we were able to connect with. The area is so beautiful! We ate at Trattoria Pino Loricato. The proprietor Antony was so welcoming, and the food was plentiful and amazing. Whether you are there to hike, mountain bike, explore your heritage or just enjoy a long, relaxing lunch at a restaurant overlooking breathtaking views of the mountains, you will not be disappointed.

Antonio was the best host ever. We couldn’t ask for a better guide to help us navigate our family’s homeland. He personifies the hard work and giving nature of the Italian people. And the accommodations and food were so much more than we expected. What a beautiful town!
