A great hostel environment. Very clean and wonderful host. Would have liked to stay longer to explore the area more. Highly recommend for young adventureous travelers who want to experience the area.

Friendly, helpful staff who spoke english. Allowed for early check-in and provided a place to park my bicycle.

The rooms were great. Clean and slightly more spacious than typical Japanese rooms. I had space to lay out my little suitcase to reorganize. The fridge has a legit real freezer and the microwave in room was good to have. The front desk staff was kind and I didn't realize daily meals were included. They gave me tickets/coupons to get a meal a day from the freezer chest at the front desk. I did not partake but things looked great and made locally. The free drink bar in the lobby was a nice touch too. The laundry facilities are great. Didn't need to bring detergent and it was all in one machine which was convenient. There is no change machine so make sure you have yen. There were instructions in English on how to use the machines as well. There are only two but it is convenient to have a laundry facility on site. There was also a drink vending machine in the same building as the washing machines. Very lose to a drugstore Mori and a Lawson's around the corner. Also the temple across the way looked interesting and huge with a ton of cranes (birds). I wished I had a chance to explore but I was using this area as a jump of point for a race in Minamata.

It's beside the train Izumi Station which can be convenient for travels using public transportation. They also provide different brands of soap/ shampoo at the lobby aside from the one provided in the bathroom

This is a stand alone house directly at the cliffs. Lower floor seemed to be storage area. All upper floor is guest apartment consisting of fully equipped kitchen with seating area, big tatami room, and one bedroom with two conventional beds. Latter two rooms open up to a terrace with beautiful sea view. There was self check-in and out without difficulties. Onsen 5 minutes away walking. Café and fish restaurant same distance. Supermarket down the road in town.
