The best part is the sento including an open air bath that you can use for free. There’s also an assortment of free ice cream to enjoy after your bath.

United KingdomThe breakfast was incredible. The staff asked every day what time we'd like to have breakfast, and then it was delivered to our room with a gentle knock on the door at the expected time, and left outside on a tray.
The content changed each day - delicious bento boxes of rice, proteins, miso soup and vegetables. Beautifully presented and wonderful!

We visited Hirosski to view the Castle and the Rice Paddy...
We visited Hirosski to view the Castle and the Rice Paddy Art. These are both easy to visit. We were delighted to find that it is the apple centre of Japan and this was well reflected by the information available and the cartoon characters at the station.

The host, Akira, greeted us with a glass of their local apple juice (from their neighbor actually). It was a nice surprise! The house is located on a nice and quiet neighborhood and is surrounded by apple orchards. Since this is a home stay, towels aren’t included but you can request them for ¥100 per person. They offered to change the sheets after 3 days but we declined. Akira’s wife, Yo’ne, even took stride to learn how to ask “Did you have a good night’s sleep” in our language. She stated that she does that for every international guests they have. It was nice personal touch. If you plan to stay here, you’ll need a car as it’s about 15 minutes from the city center. However, the Go app (Japan’s version of Uber) works fine albeit a little pricier than the big cities. Other than that, we had a very lovely stay.

A lovely city that takes pride in their history, agriculture, and festivals. I greatly enjoyed my walk around Hirosaki castle and the surrounding park/gardens. While I might have arrived slightly too early for the famed Cherry Blossoms, I was able to experience the festival that had already begun in earnest. It is very evident that Hirosaki is the apple capital of Japan. Every consumable that can be made from apples was available and each one that I sampled was delightful.

Good hotel, easy check-in and parking across the road. Quick elevators to higher floors and good views from both sides, all rooms. Great breakfast up high on 13th floor.

Hirosaki is excellent option as a base to explore north...
Hirosaki is excellent option as a base to explore north Tóhoku. Very close to Iwaki-san, very close to Aomori city, very close to Ódate (Akita Inu centre). Excellent apples and okonomiyakis, juicy corn on Iwaki-san, spelndid Hirosaki castle! Very laid back and relaxed city but still many options to be entertained or go shopping. Look no further if you wish calm and relaxed but still sufficiently equipped base for your travels.

The location of this hotel is brilliant. 15 minutes to Hirosaki Park, 5 minutes to the tourist strip and food and the 5-story pagoda outside our window and another 5-minute walk. The breakfast was sensational and catered to Western and traditional tastes. The 10th story Onsen with laundry is a must - free ice cream and Yocult after. There is an outdoor heated bath and a sauna. Bliss after a long day of cherry blossoms. Staff were exellent and managed our luggage forwarding for us.

Hotel is in a great location near the station however rooms are very shabby but clean they are also very small we booked a double as a couple and there was hardly any floor space if staying as a couple book a king room as more floor space
Staff are friendly but very limited English had to use Google translate on the few occasions we had to communicate
I would stay here again as location is excellent but would make sure I booked a larger room
I would rate it 3* rather than 4*

Centrally located in Hirosaki for main high street, shops and walkable to Hirosaki Castle . Wonderful welcome, small business style hotel but with lovely touches that made you feel right at home from happy hour drinks when checking in ( local sake/ cider / apple juice )and a fantastic pillow selection to ensure you get the perfect nights sleep.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, the location was a short walk from Hirosaki Park (took amazing cherry blossom photos), the room was in traditional japanese style allowing a very authentic experience and for a hostel, it was very comfortable.
